This place was great. Came in to order balloons for my Mom's birthday and found her a gift and card while they made me a really nice balloon bouquet. The lady behind the counter knew exactly what I needed, made up a bouquet in the price range I needed and it really made my mom's day. who knew they made balloons in so many styles. cool spot, not a lotta places left in nyc like this. go check it out.

I really love balloon saloon but the the staff, or perhaps just the mother and daughter who own it are so unfriendly and unhelpful i have to ask why are they in the business of children. ordered balloons for $200 and got treated like they were doing me a favor. makes me never want to go back there.

I Love this Store! I am truly shocked at the negative reviews posted here on google. I have been shopping in this store for over 15 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. I know the owner and so do my children. Most people dont know that this store sponsors comunity baseball teams, donates to the churches and hebrew schools in the area and are always giving back to the comunity. This shop is unlike any in the city and thats what makes it great! The pace, The music, the atmosphere are all unique to this place. I am a firm believer that some people have the notion that they are owed something because they make alot of money or are married to a rich guy, or because they have an entitlement they learned since birth. The world is a rough place esspecially in NYC. No one is perfect and to expect to be waited on hand and foot amongst a store full of people is unreasonable. I ... I am very dissapointed to see how big of a deal some people are making of there childs 1st birthday!!! Get real people!!! if thats the biggest and most important event in your life, consider yourself lucky!! Shop at this store I promise you will not be dissapointed.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE and did I mention RUDE
Went into the balloon saloon today for the second time to order balloons for my daughter's 1st birthday and was helped by a woman who sifted through a pile of papers and barely paid any attention to me when I spoke to her. Even better, in mid-sentence she turned to her coworker and proceeded to carry on a totally separate conversation with him. After waiting a few minutes, I asked whether she was going to help me, and she directed me to the woman at the counter in the front with no explanation.
The woman in the front of the store didn't greet me and just asked me for my address and my daughters birthday party venue details. When I asked her whether they did standard balloon table displays, she said yes and ""hadn't I seen the book in the back with the balloon displays""? I said no, and she huffed and puffed her way (with me) to the back of the store to get the book. At this time, the original women said ""really, I think you should look at our website for ideas/displays"". Okay, I had it and walked out. Long story short, What happened to being courteous and polite? And Customer Service?
Oh, did I mention this was my second time at the balloon saloon? The first time I went in I was told "" really, I think you should look at our website for ideas/ balloon displays"".
I AM AMAZED THIS PLACE STAYS IN BUSINESS!

There are only so many things you can say about buying balloons or party stuff. But I can honestly say that I had an experience at the balloon saloon I wont soon forget. What a place... My head was spinning by the time I left. So much too look at I didnt know where to look first. Most of all they acttually helped me pick out some things for my party...A rarety these days. They deffinately have the system down. There was like 15 things going on at once and the guy who helped me was all over the place but still had time for me. P.S. ""He actually knew what he was talking about"" I think his name was shawn. I say add it to your list of places to check out.

I went into this store after shopping at party city.... The balloon saloon is by far better. They had everything I was looking for and within a dollar or two of the price. Not bad for mom and pop shop. If you like NO customer service and an unfriendly check out guy than shop at party city. I cant speak for the rest of them but the one I went to on 14th was terrible. This place is way better.

Im writting this review solely because I have never had a more pleasurable experienced returning a product. I was given a lego set for my child as a get well present. Unfortunately he is too young for the age specific toy I recieved for him. I brought the toy back into the Balloon Saloon where it was purchased from. first I was greeted when I walked in by a smiley gentlemen at the front counter. I explained to him the sittuation and without hesitation he offered me an exchange. Even thouigh I didnt have my reciept. I was in a rush so I declined the offer. He responded with "" I can give you gift certifacate if you like?"" I accepted. The icing on the cake that really won me over was on the gift certifacate, there is a section for the expiration date of the certificate. He filled in the word ""NEVER"" Needless to say I will be buying there from now on. Thanks again

I have been living in the city for 6 years and never noticed this place before. I walked past the other day and couldnt help but go in and poke around. I couldnt believe the stuff they had in there! I was a kid again! they had candies and toys I havent seen since I was a kid. Loved this shop. Took a balloon home for my daughter and she loved it. The shop was busy but the staff was still helpfull. I say go take a look.

I have ordered a huge arrangement of balloons for my son's birthday. Their baloons are beautiful, but you definitely pay a good price. For a birthday bouquet and some mylar baloons I paid $190+. When I placed the order, I was very specific and made sure that the person who took the order had everything repeated back to me. She did and I gave credit card over the phone to pay for it. When delivery arrived, the gentlemen dropped off the baloons wrapped up in a huge plastic bags. Once I took the bags off, I realized that one of the baloons was missing. I called back and asked them to repeat the order that they charged to my account. It was correct. When I told them that one of the balloons was not there, Tiffany, the owner of the store asked me to send a picture. I did. When she called back, she pretty much acccused me of lying and told me that I must have done something with the baloon. My jaw dropped and I didnt even know what to say. I figured their customer service skills need improvement and asked Tiffany to replace the baloon. She responded that it wil cost $40 for a balloon and a delivery. I pointed out that I have alredy paid for a ballon and a delivery once and feel that they should correct their mistake free of charge. Tiffany said once again that baloon was delivered and I must have accidentally popped it. Anyway, to make the story short, beware of poor customer serviceand dont be surprised if they call you a liar to your face. There are many other places to get balloons where you will be treated honestly, with respect, and you wont feel that they charged you a small fortune and spit in your face afterwards!!!!!!
