The Best!

i had broken my metacarpel and went to NY Cornell Emergency. Dr. Norma B was the one who put everything together. This was in 1996 July , Jesus ! she came did a fantastic job, wanted me to quit smoking. ..A few days later the main operation took place(5hrs) and she was there again. She is a perfectionist in everyway i think. Can never forget her, and what she did for me.

Be very very cautious with this Doctor

I was recently hospitalized due to an attack in the city. I was stabbed in the face with a broken drinking class at a bar by a very intoxicated and irate individual. I was immediately rushed to the hospital. My wounds were very deep and all over the left side of my face. Dr. Bacilious was paged to come in a perform the reconstructive surgery.
She did do a nice job. It was very long and she was very impatient with me. She seemed very annoyed and acted like she didn't want to be there.
After this procedure, actually about 16 hours afterwards, I was called be her office personel for immediate payment of over $10,000. I was very confused since I gave the people in the ER my insurance cards. I was told by her office that Dr. Bacilious does not work with insurance companies and is demanding the full amount to be paid immediately. I was harrassed during this call extensively. The person calling me, (Frederica), was very rude and arrogant. I tried and tried to explain to her that I was a victim of an assault and I had no control over who the hospital called in and to please understand that. They didn't understand and are threatening to take me to court. They have already taken me to collections over this. Can you believe this?? No more than 45 days after an emergency surgery, in an ER, she is doing this to me. I am working with the Criminal Victims Board and they are willing to pay the bill. But the doctor will not wait. She would rather ruin my life just in time for Christmas.
She and her office are terrible people. They are arrogant, ruthless and very unprofessional. If you are ever to use this doctor for yourself, think of the things that she has done to me and probably to many others. RECONSIDER!!!

Great Plastic Surgeon, very friendly & Compassionate

First my best friend who is an R.N. chose Dr. Bacilious as her surgeon when she wanted to get her breasts done. She really liked that Dr. Bacilious was a female and therefore took a feminine perspective on how a woman's breasts should look. She felt that Dr. Bacilious had a kind and friendly disposition, and that she was a perfectionist so she wouldn't have to worry that everything was going to look great when she went in for surgery. Plus, Dr. Bacilious had great credentials being affiliated with NY Cornell, NYU, St. Lukes-Roosevelt, & Sloan Kettering. I was so pleased with my friend's results that when my sister wanted liposuction, I told her to go to Dr. Bacilious. Her attention to detail is above and beyond. We really felt like she went out of her way in post operative care to make sure my sister had the great results she was hoping for. She was indeed very friendly and professional. I had a couple of moles that I wanted removed before they grew too big, so I asked if she would do that for me. You can barely see the mark after 6 months, while my other sister who lives in another state had a local plastic surgeon take her mole off, and the scar is terrible. I'm glad I had Dr. Bacilious do mine! I decided to get Botox with her, because she actually does it herself instead of having the nurse do it.
