Wine selection was superb and the small plates hit the spot for something light. The

service was near perfect as they came by often enough to helpful but not pushy.

The best wine bar in New York City

The best wine bar in New York City, with great ambiance and a pretty unbeatable menu. It's uber-swank and so much fun. The design is really sleek and modern and they have it decorated really well I love that you can see the wine above the bar. I’m a real foodie and Ayza was all I expected and more.

Avarage......

My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary - a great romantic place to celebrate. These guys are pretty smart combining wine and chocolate. It's pretty much a win win for them. The place was full of ladies -- I was one of the only guys, which was a-ok. The food was really good, and reasonably priced for what it was, as a wine bar at least. I had the filet and it was awesome. My gf had the fish which was good too. And we shared the hummus, which I wasn't excited about it it turned out to be pretty great itself. After dinner we did a bunch of truffles. I'm not really a chocolate guy, but even I thought they were pretty good, and the girlfriend, well, she was over the moon. She's already planning a trip there with her girlfriends. Add to the estrogen of the place, I guess.

Romantic Place

some gyuy brought me here on a dat.e The guy turned out to be a schmuck but it’s ok because I found a great new restaurant. It’s in a weird location but it’s really nice. Friendly peeps, a great wine list, and the food’s really good too. Only bummer is it would’ve been really romantic if it’d been a different guy!

best wine bar in new york

I’m not real picky about wines, and I usually like it when people pick em out for me. This place could make me a real wino though. They have a huge wine list and lots of nice ones by the glass. And myfavoritepart is that I can get a cheese plate and they tell me what wines to get iwht them. How cool is that?

really deserves the 5 star

I went for the fist time a few months ago and I just keep going back. The waitstaff is so welcoming and the outside patio is really lovely and great for the warm weather. As far as wine bars in New York City go, this is one of the best. I like the ravioli and the fish dish is excellt as well. The pickeld trio thing was a little disappointing though. It was pretty small and slightly strange. We tried it on a whim though, just to see something new so I guess perhaps we were in for it. Other than that, I have tried most things on the menu and everything is really excellent.

My Favorite Place in the City

This place is my new date spot. Really urban chic but romantic too. And the chicks are really impressed by the whole wine/chocolate thing. Plus, they have cheese and pairings so I can look like I know what I’m talking about when I order, even though I have no idea. They have some beer too so it’s a good place to come pregame with the guys. You can get more info on their website www.ayzanyc.com And check out all the hot girls who come with their friends of course! The best wine bar in the city.

Only one word;Amazing

My boyfriend took me to Ayza and the entire experience was perfection!! Everyone he knows is just buzzing about this place so we had to check it out. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing. The service was friendly although a bit slow. Actually the slow service aIlowed us to savor the wine and atmosphere. It was so refreshing to see the owner interested in our experience and chatted with us for a while. The sommelier was very pleasant and took the time to offer advice on food/wine pairings. We will certainly be back!!
