This place is a real pleasure to go to. The people are genuinely love and pleasant and so caring with the customer from the minute you wlk through the door! There is no bitchy attitude or talking in a foreign accent so you dont understand or feel uncomfortable (like in most places!). The manicure is immaculate and they take their time. It's def $3-4 above other run of the mill places, but it's almost worth it because you know every visit will be a great experience. This place wld be a HUGE hit with tourists heading to Bloomingdales. The fact that it's not street-level helps to keep it hidden.

The people there are lovely and they do a great job and it is newly renovated. However, the new prices are way too high. I am sad to say it is too expensive for me ( or anyone in my office) to go there anymore, specially when there are other places in the area that are less. ( $15 per manicure).

Wednesday, 11/21/2007 -- Went to Aries Nail, like I occasionally do during my lunch hour. It was a bit crowded, waited several minutes (8 mins) before someone took me, took off my polish, began to file my nails, when she was interrupted and was told by the male manager to take another person -- that had come in AFTER me. Wasn't told someone else would take me shortly, nor was I told how long it would take before someone else could pick up where the girl started, nor was I told that this person did or didn?t have an appointment. Waited another 10 minutes before another girl (manicurist) came over and told me that she was going to take someone who'd arrived two minutes ago, and that she'd take me afterward. I asked her how long it would take before someone could give me a manicure, she said about 10-15 minutes. I got up and walked out. Will never go back there again--disorganization and lack of communication are horrible for business, because they leave clientele wondering if people actually have an appointment, have a preference for certain ?regulars,? or what. When I left there were six more people walking in and waiting. Sometimes a cheaper manicure at a cramped neighborhood spot IS NOT worth the wait, or the hassle. Won't be going back again anytime soon. Spend the extra few dollars on your manicure at Nails Together on east 60th Street between Madison and Park, a few blocks up. Everyone I?ve sent there has raved about it. I know I?ll be going after work, and not returning to Aries Nail again.

I moved here about a year and half ago and took me a while to find a good clean salon that cares about hygene w. a reasonable price..
Most of the nice, clean and quiet places charge you at least $50 +tip.
After visiting Aries nail once, I fell right at home. And you cannot find anything like this for $26 +tip in NYC.
They are very dedicated and nice people. This is a place you can chill, watch tv, while you get your nails done. And most important you don't have to worry about funges or anything like that. I recommend making an appointment or going at the beginning of the week, since they get really busy. Enjoy!

At $28 for a combo, you can't go wrong. The ladies are wonderful, sweet and quiet; the pedicure chairs allow for relaxation and a gentle massage; best of all, you can be in-and-out with nails and feet all done up for less than $30 (plus tip, of course!) and in less than 40 minutes.
