Beware & don’t get scammed! I purchased an engagement ring from Larry's Fine Jewelry (LFJ) via eBay. When I received it the ring it looked good so I had request coverage from my homeowners insurance. The agent asked that a rep that specializes in jewelry coverage will need to look at the ring and certificate before they can cover the item. During their analysis of the ring they informed me that it would not be covered for what the certificate states which was $24K and that they can only cover 25% of the value stated on the certificate. I was outraged, the ring was proposed on eBay for $13K but was negotiable. When I spoke with Larry, he informed me that during the negotiation he will still provide me with the original certificate that states the value of the ring being $24K.My insurance company told me that I can have a licensed Gemologist conduct an appraisal of the ring and that they will consider their certified appraisal. I researched qualified and reputable Gemologist in my area and decided to go with someone who also has handled cases like this in litigation. She did a full analysis of the ring and provided me with a report that was prepared in compliance with the standards of The American Society of Appraisers and the Society‘s Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics. In her report she valued the replacement cost for the ring at $5,500, not $24K from the GAI Appraisal that I received from LFJ. Also the ring has a straight cut on top of the center stone that is extremely visible when put under a very bright light. In the GAI Appraisal the description of the ring states that it is a 3.03 ct G SI1 Cushion Cut Diamond Micro Pave Halo Engagement ring which is not close to the description for the certified Gemologist. When I presented it to LFB along with the Gemologist analysis report, I informed them that I was willing to work with them on exchange for the exact type of ring I purchased. It has been almost 6 months and still not resolved.
Had a great experience here. They have this really "homie" feeling to the shop that makes you comfortable.Bought my fiance her engagement ring here. Very smooth and effortless process, even though diamond shopping can get a person anxious.Would recommend it to my friends.
Fantastic experience. We visited New York in June and were overwhelmed with the selection and the technical details. The diamond district is a scary place if you're not in the know or have little knowledge about diamonds. On our last day, we booked a tour of the NYC diamond district. We were shocked with the level of professionalism from this team of young gemologists and their expertise in diamond selection. Ultimately we purchased a $5,800 and had it appraised back home for $8,300. Igor, please accept our gratitude for this comprehensive service. We will be back to use your services again and I hope to see you soon.
do not buy from these liars and thieves! they sell you "clarity enhanced" diamonds without telling you. they are unethical and practice unethical selling techniques. and they do not honor their return policy!!!!!!!took us a 4 month battle to get our money back. thank god we kept all email correspondents with them so we could show they were lying. and thank god our credit card ruled in favor of us.** a little example of what they do: they mark their prices up 4 times the price of what they will sell to you. so for a ring that says $100,000 on the sticker, they tell you they will take 75% off of that price and that it's wholesale at $25,000. all the while, you think that's a great deal until you get home (1,200 miles away) and find out from an appraiser that not only did you get sold a clarity enhanced diamond, but that it's also worth $10,000 less than what you paid for it, and even less than that for resale value. one other unethical sales technique they do is take you and the ring outside into the daylight. that is completely wrong, as that makes the diamond reflect more white than it would naturally. so, my ring that they said was an h (which is near colorless) that turned out to be an l (by a gia certified appraiser) looked like a d-e in the broad daylight.these people are the biggest scumbags as they completely lied to our face about the engagement ring itself, but also said to us with no hesitation that we would have absolutely no problem returning the ring whatsoever as long as it was in the 30 day return period.bad people! and ruined our engagement experience which we can never get back!signed, pissed off, and now highly skeptical customer!
These guys are crooks. Sold me a diamond bracelet for my wife's 10th year anniversary gift last week. They DID NOT tell me I was buying clarity enhanced diamonds. I paid and was reading the appraisal on my way home when I realized that the appraisal said these were clarity enhanced stones, cheap diamonds laser treated to correct flaws. These are cheap diamonds and they charged me $7500 for it. When I tried to return them, they are saying no refunds only exchanges. They could have sold me glass and if I didn't read the appraisal that it was glass I would never had known. The clear writing in the appraisal is for them to cover themselves in case I take the bracelet for insurance. These guys are crooks. DO NOT buy from them ever. I just filed a dispute with Citi (thankfully I had used a credit card for the purchase).Apparently others reviewed the same issue here: https://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/larrys-fine-jewelry-inc-new-york/854846e53d8cba92.html
Boris at Roman Malakov has served me through several significant purchases over the past several years. From the beautiful engagement ring he made for my wife to every diamond and jewelry piece I've bought for her since, Boris has been my go to guy. Honest, trustworthy and always the best value, I highly recommend Roman Malakov Diamonds.
I am a professional who wanted a band that is elegant as well as tough. My husband knew this and I know it was tough for him to get me a band that covers both sections but you made it possible for me. I loved the band as soon as I set my eyes on it.
We are going to get engaged in a week’s time. Given the number of positive reviews we had read and heard about Wedding Ring Originals, both my girlfriend and I chose to buy our rings from here. The rings fit well and the inscription of our names is engraved beautifully on these.
