Bottom line: they do not care about customer loyalty or customer service, shop elsewhere and skip the attitude.I've shopped here quite a bit over the last 8 years, despite significantly overpriced hardware, because it is conveniently close. after 2 recent incidents, I will never, ever give them my money again.1. bought a door weather-stripping kit that had an open package. asked clerk about it, he said "its all there". Was wrong size so I came back 4 gourds later to exchange it for correct size. Same clerk said we do not accept open packages for return...2. bought some minwax stain and poly. returned the next day to exchange unopened cans for different color. clerk said we don't do paint returns. I reminded him that this is stain, not mixed paint. he said no returns. I asked why he didn't tell me at the point of purchase. he said you didn't ask…So, I don't need this big-box BS attitude from a "family owned" store. I'm spending my money at Iglarsh up the street and I recommend you do as well. With this type of customer interactions they are going to drive themselves out of business, and frankly I hope they do.
Excellent selection and customer service
Shameful customer serviceWalked in looking for a socket wrench and walked out after being insulted by an employee claiming to be the manager. The man seemed irritable when i first approached. He became sarcastic and antagonistic after i asked for advice on fixing my door and then he continued to insult me about my little knowledge of hardware... This place should not be in business.
they have everything you need for hardware, nail , key etc
Love this hardware store, the owner went out of his way to help me.
Amazing to find old school hardware stores like this around anymore, they have all your hardware needs and the prices are fair. Staff knows their trade and are willing to help. I will continue to go back.
You walk into this seemingly tiny, shoe-box sized hardware store and might think, How am I going to find what I need in this puny space? Alas, all you have to do is ask the store owner. His name alludes my memory, yet you will know him by his friendly attitude and smile. His smile lights up Harlem and the service and rapport he gives are both friendly and wonderful. After a few visits to his store I found out that he moved here from Africa because of the opportunity that America gives. We forget that sometimes. But he is truly living the dream. He owns his own business and does what he does very well. Greet customers, gets them what they need, rings them up, and sends them on their way. All the while with a great big smile on his face. Please visit him for all of your local and non-local hardware needs. You will not be disappointed.
I had the best customer service and i didn't believe they had what I needed and to find out it was even cheaper then home depot. thank god for dicks.. they are great.
