I am beyond livid at this moment. This summer I was selected for SYEP. I was placed to work for Chinatown Partnership. On Monday, June 27th, I was interviewed and I told the office manager that I would prefer to only work Friday-Sunday. He said that that was fine and that he would email me by the end of the week (July 4th weekend). Needless to say, I never received any emails from him. On Tuesday, July 5th, I took the initiative to email him about my work schedule. He responded 3 hours later and told me to report to work the next day (Wednesday, July 6th). Then, I proceeded to email him an hour later about my availability that I had mention during the interview. He never responded to that email. On Thursday, July 7th I decided to call him and he told me that they can't accommodate to my availability and to look for a new workplace. He didn't even have the decency to answer my email and only told me that when I CALLED him. Very unprofessional! I hope the government stops funding them.

If you are headed to NYC and plan to do all the touristy stuff, this is the route to go! It will save you SO much money in the long run!!

This is definitely NOT a 4 star business. I have been with them for 18 months now. NOT a single referral despite their initial assurance that they could be a very valuable resource for placement.I've seen other (similar) ratings from others who have had problems. I'm not impressed and rather disappointed at their total lack of professionalism. Don't expect a call - it doesn't happen.

This employment agency is not good at all. I met Leslie Silver. I went in there with a set appointment and she took me in late. She did not even interview me. She just said "Good school" and told me we have to find you a job and that was it. She was ridiculous and very unprofessional. I really believe she is not for diversity either. I am just being brutally honest.
