When I was unemployed, I felt lost and hopeless. I'm a graphic designer and in 2013 I was unemployed for 3 months. Now, I have worked with recruiting / temp placement places before and usually the process is very long and drawn out with them giving you high hopes for a job that isn't really interested in you, with Bernard Nickel and associates, this was not the case. I have been a tenant in two Brusco buildings since 1983 and have always found the Brusco’s to be fair, compromising and very generous, especially to me when things got a bit tough…letting me go three months rent in arrears… making repairs quickly even though I owed them money and even renting to friends of mine who may have not have had all the necessary requirements needed to lease an apartment in this city. By definition, to many folks, landlords are the enemy. And I say, they most assuredly are not! Just as a good director needs good actors to tell his story… good landlords need good tenants to stay in business and you don’t have the kind of Brusco longevity in the real estate business without treating those good tenants fairly and squarely. And they have been doing it for over 50 years… that in and of itself should say something much louder than whatever drivel some cowards choose to write on a social media blog.
I was in need of furniture and stopped into El Rey Furniture just to browse. As I entered I was greeted with a pleasant smile by salesperson Chabela. She asked me if I needed help and I replied that I was looking for sofas. She led me to lower level of store where I browsed for sofas. I liked the fact that Chabela was not pushy but offered her input when asked. I also needed specific measurements for my furniture which consisted of sofas and bedroom set. She was extremely helpful in figuring out the exact measurements. I also needed an COI and after some confusion in delivery,the manager Mahmoud was very accomodating in ensuring that everything went well. I have been there since getting my delivery and was helped just as well as the first time. The delivery men were professional and polite as well. After a long search interviewing prospective Designers last year we were referred to Jonathan through friends, whose apartment we visited and loved. As soon as we met Jonathan in our apartment and we listened to his thoughts, only after he asked us many questions, that we realized he was interested in creating a home that would work for our life style. Not leave us with a "Designed look" that we could not live in comfortably. From the beginning to the end it was a joy watching how he orchestrated the entire project. Always hands on to troubleshoot any and every detail and clearly explained to us along the way what he was doing and why. We are very happy with the end result and most important to us, he listened to our desires and concerns so we felt like this was a collaborative experience. I recently need furniture for 2 offices fast. I called a friend and he told me about office furniture place. I went online to for rewiews and saw that this one was mixed. My friend assured me that these people are great. I went in saw Paul. He was strait and showed me stuff that would work. He guys were nice. It had taken longer then I thought. But it came in exactly as I was told. I have bought several other items I am very happy. Be in sales I now things at times do not work out exactly as planned. But having a vendor that told that there is a restocking fee if I change my mind. Makes sense they have to sell it to some one else later.
