I've been coming here for years and the food is absolutely amazing! The waiters are awesome! The atmosphere is fantastic. What you should know: If you plan on coming during dinner hours, you may be in for a wait, so come early and sidle up to the bar for a drink. Gets a little tight for groups over 6, but they can accommodate you if you call ahead. Chat with the waiters and they will become your friends - people are people and should be treated as such. You treat them well and next thing you know its like you just came to your family's for dinner! Hot summer nights, come a bit later for the outdoor seating. Or during brunch for the same. What I order: Brunch: Crostini Toscano - Pate on grilled bread. Grilled Calamari. Dinner: Carpacio con Argula - Beef carpacio with greens. Parpadelle al Anatra - shredded duck pasta with a pink sauce. Simply amazing! You must get this!! Desert: Tiramisu - Save room for this!!
They call it the Coffee Shop because it's really no more than that in appearance. It's like your typical diner type environment except they hire a lot of "model-type" servers to make it more appealing. It's known in town as the place where models work. If the models aren't working at Abercrombie & Fitch most likely you can find them here. I have to say it does add to the atmosphere. As for food I wouldn't say there's anything that really stands out on their menu. But I will say you can't go wrong with their sweet potato fries and their burgers are nice too! The service is so so. Sometimes I come and the waiters are really polite and friendly and other times I've been here the waiters won't even so much as smile. It's a hit or miss in that department because their wait staff is always changing. It's a good place to come if you're looking for a quick bite with some familiar items on the menu.
Let's be clear. This is the best restaurant on the upper west side, hands down. I went with some friends before the show at the Beacon. Funny that they were offering PBR beers at the bar. Waiter said that when shows that are 'rockin' they like to get into the spirit of things by offering a can beer. Well I did have a PBR! Its been like 8 years for a PBR but it was fun. We then got down to business with a wonderful Chianti that was so smooth and flavorful. Just loved it. We also had a bunch of apps and dishes. I had the Steak (course with my Chianti ;) We ended with a fantastic chocolate cake dessert that was warm and it came with some gelato or ice cream. I would totally recommend Cesca. The staff were so nice and the food was delicious.
Excellent place in Little Italy! We ate here with a party of 10. We arrived 30 minutes early and they were ready to seat us. Sat outside and enjoyed the scene as Mulberry is closed to cars on Friday night during the summer. The food was amazing. I had the lasagna. The best I've ever had. Everyone at our table said the same for their dish. I have two kids that are gluten-free. They offer gluten-free pasta which the two kids devoured. Wine menu very reasonable ($25-30/bottle). Staff was great. Wait staff friendly. After some confusion about doggy bagging one of our plates, the owner insisted on making a brand new dish for us to take. Highly recommend to everyone.
My friend and I were looking for a coffee place to sit at after lunch and after a lot of Internet-ing around came across Bibble and Sip. Decided it wouldn't be a bad place to try, so we headed over after lunch and got a matcha latte and lavender latte. The matcha was good, but not what we were really in the mood for. The lavender on the other hand was sooooo good. Sooooooo good that even a month later, we're thinking about it. lol :)) We only got the drinks and resisted temptation to buy the pastries and panna cotta. Now we kind of wish we did, because of how delicious they looked. But based on that lavender latte alone, this place is pretty good.
Loved this restaurant from the moment I walked into in! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is super friendly. The menu had so many great options. We started with the mozzarella chips which were yummy. I ordered the pesto and it was amazing. The drinks were superb as well! They were creative and were actually mixed right (a first for us in NYC). We did have dessert which then made it a complete score for us. We got the tiramasu which was literally the best tiramasu I ever had. We had been in NYC for 3 days, eaten 10 meals at 10 different restaurants and this was the only restaurant left us saying we need to come again!!!
My favorite thai ice cream in the city, they have the quickest machines and freshest ingredients. The main reason I like ICENY above all the rest is it's not overly sweet. You ever wanted ice cream, buy a cup, take 5 bites and couldn't have anymore because it felt too sweet or heavy so you force it over to your bf/gf or throw it out after holding it for it awhile and forcing a few more bites? well not this place, it's balance just right so you can finish the whole thing and you actually want it again and again to try all the variations and combos of all the flavors.
I have eaten here several times. You can choose your sauce, sweet, medium or hot. I love hot sauce and the hot sauce here is really hot! You can ask for it on the side for a try or choose the medium or sweet. I never leave this place hungry. Portions of Calamari are hefty and I often need to take home some. Good flavor; Nice portions. Waiters are attentive and the price is fair for Manhattan and the portions. The owner is usually on premises and pleasant to speak with. See you again soon!
Charlie made us feel like family. The food was outstanding- my family rated it TOP NOTCH!! We are from California and the Pizza, Salad and Dessert was so amazing-- not to mention again the service that made us feel like honored guests. We went back a second time to try the other Pasta Dishes- and again had a wonderful time and great meal. Go and see Charlie-- he will make sure you ave a wonderful dining experience. Thanks Charlie- we are telling all our friends who go to New York to look you up.
I've been wanting real Itlalian pizza for a while now, I decided to try Casa Bella as it was recommended to me by a few people. I ordered the Pizza Casa Bella and it was great, a lot of places that said they served &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;quot;real italian, fresh pizza etc.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;quot; tasted like it was bought frozen from the supermarket and cooked. I was glad to try it, I will definitely come by when I want pizza again.
