I received a nice discount on my bed - the Hamilton Sleigh - due to a President's Day sale, free delivery, and great service from the delivery company. The bed arrived in crating that could survive armageddon, and was pristine upon unpackaging. Perfect condition with nary a hairline scratch. The bed was easy to assemble with two people - though the instructions left a bit to be desired. At the end of the day, this is an hierloom quality piece of furnture. Solid mahogany as advertised. Heavy as can be. And just an incredibly beautiful piece of furniture. I'm 100% satisfied and can recommend Charles P Rogers to anyone based on my own experience.
I have purchased our table set here and I am so happy with the quality. The family loves it as well. We spend lots of quality time on the furniture.
i will never use this company again. I will let everyone I know never to use this company. They bate and switch you. They also provide incorrect information about delivery and tracking. I wanted the bed assemble and when I asked about this service I was told that I was to talk to the delivery company and it was an additional 150.00. When the time came to have the bed delivered I was told it was 255.00 and I was to arrange with Charles P. Rogers not delivery service . The company doesn't carry about providing customer service and didn't care that I would write a bad review.
My wife and I ordered a new bed from Charles P. Rogers in December 2013. We had been looking at their beds online for about a year and decided to fly to new york from minneapolis to see their beds in person. We ended up purchasing the hampton, a white tufted headboard with a tiger mahogany frame for around $2,000.00. We did not have the bed a month and the frame broke when we tried to slide the bed to clean behind it. The bed frame is held to the head board with four 3/4" female inserts. The weight of the mattress and the weakness of the bed integrity pulled the insets right out of the headboard connection.Chales P Rogers customer service has been terrible They said they would get back to us in couple of days, but it has been a month and they do not respond to our email inquiries. We have now been sleeping on air mattress for 2-months. This is the worst furniture buying experience we have ever had. The last bed I purchased was in 1989 and it was a stickily bed that has lasted to this day. The Charles P Rogers engineering is shorty at best/ r 3/4" inserts that don't even go all the way throughout the head board with never last. We ar proof of that as they broke after only 30 days. Since Charles P Rogers has been unresponsive to our repair requests, we are reporting them to the better business bureau and the New York Attorney Generals office.
