I spent ~$2,000 with Henry's auction house in Germany. After eight weeks I have not received the items I bought...and LiveAuctioneers has been USELESS in helping. If you call their help number, you get a recording to press 1 for help and then they hang up on you. Use BidSquare or Invaluable or anyone other than LiveAuctioneers. Bottom line: I've been screwed out of ~$2,000 and LiveAuctioneers hasn't lifted a finger to help.

I won an item and paid for it. The auction house shipped the wrong item to me. I could not get the auction house to ship me the right item.I tried and tried to contact them but they have the worst support in the industry. Do yourself a favor and use other auction houses such as Bidsquare or Invaluable.By the way they allow the auction house to see your bid by allowing them to retract a bid once they see that the system did not increase your bid and sell the item back to you at your highest amount left.
This company sells fake Chinese antiques. After they received the returned items, they would not give you refund.
To Liveauctioneers, I understand that you did not contact me immediately after an auction and did not disclose that I was the winning bidder. I have to assume that when not contacted and not placing an item in my cart that I am not a successful bidder. I was notified several days after the auction that I am a winner. Due to an error in your system just "does not cut it". I recind all bids once the hammer falls, as surely this is my right if there is no declared winner. I contacted the auction Company who agrees with me and I am still waiting for your explanation as to WHY you did not notify me of my win, "immediately" as stated on your website and you did not place the item in my cart? I am of the opinion that an item passes ownership when the hammer falls, not when Liveauctioneers decides days later that their bidder is a winner. If no winner is declared the item is not "sold", I have now contacted several others that all share in my opinion. I also am starting another article for the trades that I often write for explaining your "glitch" so if you wish to defend your position please do it soon, or I will determine that you have no interest in your reputation as one that places online bids for clients. To my understanding "Liveauctioneers" does not fully comprehend the auction process or how auctions work. The attitude of "Liveauctioneers" is unacceptable and these "glitches" will be reported by myself and hopefully others who experience them. When a mistake is made it is important to "own up" to the mistake. I have yet to hear an apology for this "glitch", it is as though "Liveauctioneers" places its errors on it's bidders. I feel this is a bad attitude and bad for the auction business in general. I will surely express this opinion in print. Spencer Gorman
Completely agree with the previous rating. This group is really abusive. It will not protect buyers, customers, on-line bidders. It operates in a private world and rarely responds to emails. Try looking for a way to withdraw your "so-called membership".
Because of the lack of support for the on-line bidder within Live Auctioneers and the complete one sidedness behavior and actions in favor of the auction houses, I have lost thousands of dollars from crooked auction houses that are endorsed by Live Auctioneers where unlike Ebay, there is absolutely NO buyer protection. Unfortunately Live Auctioneers has forgotten where they come from and what it means to earn a customer and keep them. If you are a bidder, Just try picking up the phone and try to get a live person. If you do, they will not talk to you but insist that you send them a message through their website and this is how they will correspond with you. I called and insisted on speaking to a manager and they told me that a phone conversation would not happen and if I wanted to get a message to one, I would have to submit it through their site. """"WOW""""" is all I could say Regards,Michael Deshaies
Stay away! This place is a con and a scam! I spent 1000's of $$. Won several items and paid full price for others. 7 weeks later, I still have not rec'd the bulk of the merchandise or gift cards that were the most expensive. I have rec'd vague promises from customer service, an incorrect tracking number for a TV and pre programmed responses to emails. Very dissatisfied and 1 star is too high a rating!!
Live Auctioneers has turned out to be extremely diappointing in taking no responsibility, in any real way, for the items that are sold on its website. As for Western Asset Reserve, I would never ever consider buying anything from them again - for any reason whatsoever.
Buyer Beware at liveauctioneers
