Kids Safari Christian Preschool
6424 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34653
Our 5 year old daughter attends Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) there. She started 1-7-2009.
Established in 1986. Kids' Safari is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). They are open at 6:30am until 6:00pm on Mondays through Fridays. They are Non-Denomination Christian based. They have a security code that you have to punch in to enter the premises. Parents/Guardians have to sign the children in and out each day.
They provide daycare for infants as young as six weeks to children up to age 5, also they have before and after School Care for school age children. The child care fees are very reasonable, and VPK is free. They have 2 VPK classes available. VPK is from 9:30am until 12:30pm on Mondays through Fridays.
They use various means of teaching: verbal and auditory, visual, tactile/kinesthetic, self-motivation, creative thinking, and recall. They teach Spanish and have physical enrichment as a part of the VPK curriculum. They also have other programs, such as "Computer Tots" and "Kid Cool Karate & Fitness" for an additional (not pricy) charge.
I love their mission statement:
"The Kids' Safari Christian Pre-school was established to introduce children to Jesus and to assist families to grow physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually according to Biblical principles as understood by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The ultimate goal is to help families to be like Jesus, who 'increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.' --Luke 2:52 NKJV"
