Young man behind the bar wore ear buds in both ears, clearly listening to music. We weren't important to take at least one ear bud . So here we are shouting our order and he has yo ask us several times to repeat ourselves. We finally ordered a slice of pizza, but he picks up a single slice that was already cut and clearly not part of tge remaining pie on the tray, because it was cold and had less cheese than the remaining pie. He pops the slice on the rolling pizza oven, while we are trying to get his attention since he first picked it up from the display. Once we get his attention, he gets upset when we asked for a cut from the remaining pizza on the tray. He insists thar it's fresh. However, we tried explaining that it's had less cheese and we jusr simply preferred a different slice. He continues to insist that the slice was good and refused to cut another piece. When we said we were leaving, he told us to go f... ourselves. This is in front of out 6 and 8 year olds.
Just wanted to weigh in with total agreement on karliz's rating about the rude staff. I walked out yesterday without buying any of their overpriced sweets because the counter girl couldn't be bothered to wait on me.
food is good but staff are so incredibly rude!!!! There are a lot of other patisseries and bakeries where you can get just as good food without the surly sarcasm and long wait
I am not trying to be harsh or picky, but this is not the best poboy shop in the city. Parkway, Shortstop, and We Never Close are ten times way better. They have rude customer service and they put ketchup on their sandwiches..that's just grossed. My mom's shrimp is also better. Metarie and the West Bank have really good places to go for that cajun style sub. Don't believe the food network...you're not missing anything.
