Do not use this UPS Store. The owner agreed to pick up and crate a $6,000 table we purchased at auction. The table was received damaged and basically destroyed. They packed a marble top for the table in partical board by itself with no bracing and the top had fallen over during transport and was shattered. The table itself had a leg broken before it was even crated. I've had antiques shipped to me from all over the world. I've never seen such an inadequate job of creating. To top it off, the owner is rude and I believe trying to rip people off. I've found others he has purposely packed items poorly, then kept half the insurance money. Since your claim is paid to his store and not you, you are at his mercy to send you the money for your damaged item.
Do not use this store or do business with Ben Brainis, he is the most rude and unprofessional so called owner.
Worst UPS stroe I ever had in my lifetime. When they want your business everything is good, then they never pick up your cargo nor your call!!! OMG, please stay away from this store.
This store overcharges for boxing and supplies.Beware - owner is very rude.
DO NOT USE THIS STORE. We recently purchased an item from New Orleans Auction Galleries and they recommended that we arrange shipping with this store. We called them up and arranged for them them to pick up the item, pack it professionally - double boxing was specified and they agreed given item's value of over $4000, and ship via UPS (of course they were going to send us the receipt for their services and provide the tracking information WHEN THEY SHIPPED). Over a week goes by and no word from them, so we call and are informed that the item has shipped. Where's the emailed receipt and confirmation number? Oh, we'll send that right away. A day goes by and still no information, so we next send an email. The box arrives - no double boxing, indeed the item is sanwiched in a box barely able to hold it - fortunately no one dropped the box or our $4000 item would have required $1000 in repairs (having suffered this kind of poor service in the past from supposedly EXPERT shippers, we know how much art repairs cost). WE finally got the emailed receipt a few days later. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY BASICALLY LIE (OR ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT OR BOTH) AND DO NOT TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR THEIR PROPERTY WITH RESPECT.
