I go to Amys all time to get to get my alterations done. They give great service. I brought a pair of pants for my son to get hemed for 1 day service and they did an awesome job. I recommend them to friends and family often.
I brought a dress to Amy's and not only did they ruin it by cutting too much material off on the right side, they fought me about getting a refund. I gave them the opportunity to fit the hem; however, the dress still did not fall right and was uneven. I did get a refund for the dress but they refused to refund the hem price.Bottom line, the customer service is awful and take your business elsewhere.
Last year I took my wedding dress in for alterations as well as my going away dress. They did such an amazing job! I asked if they could make a birdcage veil last minute, and the did. Everything turned out so wonderful. I just picked up a bridesmaid dress they hemmed, and of course it turned out perfect!
I would def give this place a negative star . They ruined my dress for my daughters wedding . A hem !! Well it was so uneven all the way around and at least 2 inches shorter on one side . The only remedy was to shorten the other side . Well that made it to short to wear the shoes which I brought and had one when she measured. The worse hem ever .. the dress was $950, I couldn't wear it . I had to but another one 2days before the wedding . They charged me $59.00 for the alteration for a hem and never gave me a refund for a horrible job . I would never recommend this place ever !!! The worse ever !!
Gives poor business policies! Don't go... They put a hole in my skirt and when I went back and asked her to correct the problem she denied it and stated that I had to pay after overcharging for the first alteration.
2 terrible experiences and will not be returning. They gave away my $100 dress because I did not pick it up within 30 days. This would've been okay except for they did not tell me I had to pick up the dress within 30 days, nor do they have a sign posting this anywhere in the store or on the ticket. So there was no way of knowing the timeframe. Most alterations and dry cleaning locations allowed a 90 day pick up. They also could have called me before they were going to get rid of my dress. They take your name and phone number when you drop off the clothes. The second dress they ruined by taking off 3 inches too much making the dress way too short and unwearable. The first dress was $100, the second dress was $168. They refused to compensate for either therefore I am out $268. They also speak very little and unintelligible English which makes it even harder to communicate.
Really poor service. I dropped my clothes off, she told me it would be a week, then when i came back a week later my clothes still were not ready. I came back 3 other times before my clothes were finally ready. She did not call to let me know my stuff was not done or anything. When I was in the store to get my clothes fitted, I was the ONLY person in there, and she did not acknowledge me. Finally when I had one piece on, she would just continue on with whatever she had been doing and make me wait for at least 5 minutes between each try-on. Something that should have taken 5 minutes total ended up taking forever. Once I finally got all my clothes back, she had ruined them. My skirts still are too big, there are threads hanging all over the place off my skirts, my shirt was done unevenly and she made it smaller than we sized. One skirt is completely ruined, she left a hole in the back and the zipper was hanging from the bottom of the skirt. She took my nice hangers and returned my clothes on plastic ones. When I asked about my hangers she didn't care and just said I can come back another time to see if she has them (Yeah right! this was already my 4th visit). She was very expensive for VERY poor work!!! Not to mention she had everyone clothes all over the floor and she was stepping all over them. DO NOT TRUST YOUR CLOTHES WITH HER.
