Well known, upscale restaurant in the French Quarter. Adjacent to the Roosevelt Hotel, which by itself is a must-see. When dining out, I appreciate the food, the atmosphere and perhaps most importantly the service. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about us enjoying our dining experience. They were very busy while we were there and a couple of times we were left waiting long periods of time. Best known for its gourmet pizza, which I had and was excellent. The rest of the menu was very good as well, according to my fellow diners. I would give the atmosphere a B+, the food a B+ and the service a B. I would recommend it to others and would consider dining there again while in New Orleans.
Nice upscale interior. We had advance reservations for a party of 12 and we agreed to 2 tables of 6 athough at 5:15 it was virtually empty. No attempt was made to even seat us close by our friends. We found the waiters very snobbish and unfriendly .. Even had to ask someone else for a refill of iced tea when I couldn't get our waiters attention. My $14 pasta in the regular pasta section was seriously 6 bites. It was not from the small plates menu. Both tables asked for separate checks.. One waiter forgot and was very annoyed when asked again. Of the 6 couples, none would recommend to friends or return. Its a shame, but none of us felt welcomed.
If you want one of the best tasting pizzas in the city of New Orleans, this is the place to go. As for the rest of the Italian Food, forgetaboutit. Our family has eaten here for years and I've tried just about everything on the menu and have Never been impressed other than the pizza. From the Italian salads, which lack all the good stuff unless it's a special request, to the pastas, everything is flavorless. Hopefully one day a good Italian Chef will be hired. Overall Service is OK however, there are a few exceptional wait staff members. There is always a Law Enforcement person outside the restaurant for nighttime protection.
I only thought I had eaten lasagne until now. The flavor was unlike anything I had ever tasted. My girl had Fettucine which had this wonderful Pesto. Danni (Danielo) the waiter, saw to it that we had everything we needed. I HIGHLY recommend the Ruffino (Chianti). The combination of wine and food was orgasmic.Very small and quaint place. A nice romantic spot to bring that significant other. It was nice to go to the French Quarter and not be subject to the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street.
This is my absolute favorite Lakeview Restaurant. The meal I order most is the puppy drum with crabmeat topping with a side of Home-made pasta with butter and chives. Always wonderful staff - very attentive and friendly. Food Prices are reasonable though bar tab is a bit on high end. Always feel very pleased and well taken care of by the wait staff. Weekends are super busy so we try to go during the week.
The first time we ate there when it first opened, it was incredible! the lasagna was delicious! we were telling everyone about it. Our friends went that night and loved it. We went back today and it was horrible! the lasagna was ridiculously saltly i could barely eat it... it was cold... my salad was wimpy. For a $30 lunch for two i expect it to be good.. i was extremely disappointed!
My vehicle interior was a complete mess. Having kids isnt the best recipe for keeping a car looking good. I called Mike and xclusive detailing and they came out and have my carpets looking brand new. The car mats were totally trash and they had ones for sale. Only thing is, He gave them to me for free as part of the package. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great place to eat. Informal but you have a feel of elegance. We are from out of town but found this on YP it was only 1.5 miles from us. The pizza was the best we have ever had. Great crust and cooked properly. Nice and clean here too. They have a full bar too.
GREAT!!!! Just had my vehicle detailed by these guys and they did a great job. Im always traveling for business and my car always gets messy. These guys made it look brand new. Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in getting their car detailed.
Ordered a cup of the corn and crabmeat soup. I couldn't have it because the chef said there wasn't much left so he had to serve it by the bowl only. The rest of the food was good. Service was slow and it was not terribly crowded.
