The absolute worst post office in the land. We don’t get our mail if a vehicle is blocking the mailbox. Get out the truck?? No way. They will just deliver it when the vehicle is gone. Even if it’s days later. We never get the same mail carrier. So they don’t know where to go or when. This branch also services my business. We close at 5 and they have so much mail to deliver that they don’t always make it to us before 5. Bad management is what it is. And no direct line to the manager.

I am extremely disappointed. I am normally pleased with this branch. However, lately I have been receiving SOME of my mail that APPEARS to have been steamed opened and hastily resealed. Also, I mailed ALL of my bills on the 3rd of Oct. inside of the post office. I handed them over to a particular worker. As of Oct 20th, one of my checks had not reached the New Orleans Sewer and Water Board. My bill is due on the 21st. I went to the post office and wouldn't you know, that particular worker was the ONLY one NOT wearing a name tag. When I had spoken to NOSW&B I mentioned the postal worker by name that I left all of my bills with on Oct. 3rd. Ironic..isn't it? Almost like that particular worker knew I was coming and removed their name tag hoping that I wouldn't recognize them. But if that were the case, then perhaps my bill was delayed or removed on purpose. And I wonder just how much that paid? If that were in fact the case. The supervisor on duty refused to even try to locate my bill. To have the drivers search their trucks to see if it fell. To notify the route of any other buildings it may have gone to so they may search for it. She just refused to assist me.
horrible service. I sent a package to California and asked for a returned signature. I was charged for it never got anything I lost receipt and couldn't find a tracking number no one knows anything no one wants to help they just shrug their shoulders. They have the same people in mail office working for 20 years and they are laaaaazy , Have you tried to call the so called costumer service line 1800 275 8744 they put you on hold for an hour and basically no one answers . DONT USE US MAIL use ups or fedex you will actually get more decent service.
Sent a package to be delivered by December 22. It is now the 27th and still sitting in the New Orleans post office. What is the problem? Very disappointed. Packages that were sent to other family members in other states got there on time before Christmas. Incompetent post office.
Does the New Orleans, LA post office make deliveries @ 7pm at night?They received a package I sent to New Orleans, LA. Package was to be delivered 9/8. When 9/8 came and went called them 9/9...said it would be delivered. Not delivered 9/9. Today (9/10) Tracking said package delivered 9/9/16 @ 7pm at night. REALLY!!! You would hear someone walking up the steps to make a delivery @ 7pm. I don't know who they think they're fooling.What post office is out at 7pm at night delivering packages. I will file a formal complaint with the Federal Office of Investigation for mail theft.BTW, I made a screen print of all transactions from my post office to New Orleans, LA 70118 (I know how things tend to "disappear" - I have the evidence SAVED!)

Horrible. Claim they attempt delivery when none is made. Claim to leave a delivery notice when none is left. Refuse to answer their phone.
Lost insured parcel that was scanned in as delivered. Well speck of an apology but will distance themselves when a claim is to be filed. Only one scanner , with no identifying device to indicate what postal employee scanned the mail pieces. This procedure provides the postal employee with complete distance when package is lost or stolen since management there is aware of this issue. Complain and obtain all dates and time of day when that issue was related to the station employee and main that information when a formal complaint is made via USPS.COM, Phone # 1-800-275-8777. Also request to speck with the station manager and obtain the phone number and email address so that further contact can be done in the future.
