Worst salon experience I've ever received. I'm from out of town and called the salon 3-times to set up an appointment and confirm price. The receptionist was friendly and attentive. The stylist was nice, but over processed my daughters hair. Did not consult with her as to what she wanted and her blonde hair is now ghost white. But the worst part was the owner. She is a total flake. I watched her halfway finish a client's dreads and send her out looking a mess. The poor girl said, "Can you at least fix the top? I told all my friends I was getting my hair done." I was overcharged by a substantial amount and when I disputed, she threatened to call the police. After further discussion, she did in fact call the police! In an effort to salvage the visit with my daughter, I paid the overcharge and left. I'm so upset by this I have retained an attorney.

Excellent customer service, and Christina was amazing. I'm from San Francisco and I came to New Orleans not knowing where to go for a great haircut and color. The first place I tried was Twisted and Christina was my stylist. I used to have blonde hair down to the middle of my back, but recently cut it all off and went back to my original color of dark brown. Needless to say, I loved it and wanted to go shorter. I had a hard time finding someone who had the experience and guts to go as short as I wanted it. Christina had no problem handling my request. She was awesome and it was the cutest haircut I've had. It's weird because I still get a little nervous going that short after having long hair most of my life, even though I like it short. Christina is friendly and has a way of making you feel very comfortable. Her years of experience shows in her work, and she explains the process so you know what to expect. The color was perfect too! I knew what color I wanted when I went into Twisted, and after Christina and I looked at the sample hair color, she knew immediately what would work for my complexion and eye color. The atmosphere has a sense of warmth, as well as being very clean. The other stylist are very friendly and personable. The front desk has always worked with my crazy schedule and found a way to book my appointments with an amazing attitude, even when I have been forced to cancel last minute! The prices are cheap, especially when you compare them to the San Francisco Bay Area! I would highly recommend this outstanding salon. Thanks for having the guts and expertise to take it short Christina!

Hair Nazi's...I was referred to Twisted by my regular salon, because they do not do hair extensions, and I thought it'd be fun to try . I had them put in August 2010 to the tune of $850.00. About a month ago, they started growing out, and I tried to get an appointment. The soonest available was 3 weeks out, and even though it was in the middle of a work day, I was afraid not to take it, as I detected attitude EVERYTIME I called. It was from 1:30-4:30 today. I was running behind, and called to tell them(It was ok for me to wait 45 minutes for my initial appointment). I hustled over there, and called to let them know I was a mile away according to GPS. She put me on hold, and when she came back on, informed me that had I been 15 minutes late instead of 20(GPS put me there @1:50), I could have kept my appointment, but would have to re-schedule for 11 days later. Frustrated, I called my regular salon, and asked the hairdresser if I got them taken out(which takes an hour), when could I get an appointment. She said that she had an opening for 10 the next morning, so I called Twisted back right away, and said that since they had set aside 3 1/2 to 4 hours for me, and it by their account takes an hour to remove them, I would like to instead have them out. (I'm just OVER the frustration, and the attitude, and the last time I wanted them taken out for this exact same reason, she talked me into keeping them, hence todays appointment. Instead she tells me that she WILL NOT take any appointments from me, to come pick up my folder, and GOOD LUCK FINDING ANYONE else that uses the pinch braid method that they do. I did not think it unreasonable for me to want to avoid being treated like crap in the future, or any future appointment issues, or ask that the THREE HOURS alloted to me, be used to remove what has proven to be a headache._Btw, they don't look as natural as they say....expect to not recognize yourself for like a month.
Sooo...tomorrow, Trish (Hair ANGEL :) at Style2(squared) in MidCity is getting a smaller pair of shears, and is going to remove them the best she can(she at least has SEEN the method used), and I have NEVER been disappointed by their awesome services in the 3 years I've been going there(my hair isn't easy, either. Naturally frizzy, and they can even fix THAT)
