An average Italian restaurant at best. Slow service (even for the quarter), food is overpriced, and usually too loud too enjoy because of Bourbon. I could have made better pasta in a prison toilet. It is a shame, because it conveniently located to the Absinte Bar on Bourbon.

While we were seated promptly, it was almost 1/2 hour until a server came along, only to keep disappearing for vast amounts of time. Several other diners came in only to leave again after waiting. The only reason we waited is because we'd been there before and the food and experience were excellent. Would we go back again? Not likely. The food did not make up for the terrible service.

I had recently visited the establishment for the first time with a group of co-workers and had the most fantastic evening. We were very impressed by the extensive wine list, the friendly and knowledgable service, as well as the nostalgic atmosphere. The cuisine was prepared perfectly by the executive chef and offered the perfect combination of Norther Italian and creole influences to present innovative and creative dishes. They are able to maintain very reasonable entree prices and the large, family style servings are more then adequate. We were offered a tour of the historic building by the general manager, and found the story of The Old Absinthe House to be simply enchanting. Tony Moran's truly delivered an unforgettable experience for me and my friends, and we will be going back to try the French Creole restaurant upstairs (Jean Lafitte's Bistro).

We dined in the Upstairs restaurant. This was our 5ht or 6th time at Tony Morans. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. We always enjoy meals at this restaurant. However this time the experience was a little off as we found that the restaurant had changed the charge on the visa by increasing it by $75. But to give them credit when we called the business office the overcharge was corrected. But after this I probably would pay cash in the future.
