Families Helping Families of Jefferson is an agency that offers resources, supports and services for individuals and families with various disabilities in the state of Louisiana. It provides a range of education, training, and information and referral services. The agency maintains the Louisiana Parent Training and Information Center, which is funded by the Department of Education and provides advocacy and training services for families of at-risk students. Families Helping Families of Jefferson has a family resource center that includes lending and resource libraries, and an information and referral department. It administers various summer day camps for siblings between the ages of 6 and 12, of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, Families Helping Families of Jefferson provides leadership academies for families and professionals to learn teaming and collaboration skills through the Louisiana State Improvement Grant (LaSIG).
