Amazingly Beautiful Place, Wonderfully warm and helpful people. I love the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast. Joe and Bebe took really great care of us. Literally helped us plan our whole New Orleans experience as we had never been there before. The room was so beautiful with a BIG cozy bed. The location is perfect a lot of things to do. Wherever you cant walk the Saint Charles Avenue Streetcar can take you as the B&B is conveniently located on the streetcar line. The food was great and quite a large selection for a continental breakfast and this was the first place I ever stayed that offered me as many free snacks as I wanted through out the day. We really got so much more then we planed for and it was great. Staying at a hotel is just not the same anymore.

It was our first time to stay at at Bed & Breakfast, and Joe and Bebe welcomed us into their home with warm cookies and a tour. The rooms were beautiful and the bed very comfortable. They had a most delicious breakfast every morning and were so helpful with questions about the city and things to see. Sitting on the front porch with a morning cup of coffee was so relaxing. Thank you for making our visit so wonderful. We will be back.

When you go to someone's home and are received as a welcome guest with generosity and warmth, that delightful experience is what it is like to stay at The Avenue Inn on St. Charles in New Orleans.
They thought of everything. Snacks galore any time you want them, quiet, good information about the city, and do not ignore the beautiful decoration, furniture, knick knacks, pictures. They have on one table old pictures of their own family. My room was adorable, comfortable, very well decorated and they provided everything an expensive hotel gives.
This is a large old southern mansion.
What a privilege and pleasure my stay was at the Avenue Inn.

Joe and Bebe are most gracious and charming hosts and the inn itself is lovely, over 100 years old, carefully maintained, and filled with lovely antique/period furniture. The breakfast is wonderful with fresh home baked goods and nice variety. Snacks are available 24 hours and the free off street parking is a real bonus. The inn is right on the St. Charles Avenue street car line so there is easy access to the French Quarter as well as NOLA's many other attractions. Joe and Bebe really do go out of their way to ensure that their guests are happy and comfortable and we would definitely stay with them again and again.

Talk about luck! Our first visit to New Orleans, and we found the best bargain in town. The Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast has it all: location, beauty, comfort, excellent professional standards, outstanding service, all for an affordable price. We came to New Orleans because our granddaughter had been accepted to Tulane University and needed to visit the school before making a decision. Finding the Avenue Inn on the Tulane University website, I chose it because it was close to the school and reasonably priced. What a lovely surprise! Bebe and Joe welcome you into their elegant home with genuine Southern hospitality and tell you that their first rule is that you have a great time in New Orleans. Well, they certainly succeeded with us. Each day as we explored New Orleans, we were delighted to return to the lovely tranquility of the Avenue Inn and the architectural beauty of the Garden District, remarking over and over how thankful we were not to be staying at an impersonal hotel in the French Quarter. Getting around was easy with the streetcar right outside the front door, and Joe and Bebe were so helpful with suggestions of things to see and do, places to eat. You don?t need a guidebook at the Avenue Inn! Thanks to them, we had a wide variety of experiences during our four-day visit. We hope that our granddaughter does choose Tulane so that we can return often, and it will be to the Avenue Inn.

Conveniently located a street car ride away from the French Quarter, the Avenue Inn B&B is also close to Magazine Str shops and restaurants. Joe and Bebe, the owners, went the extra mile to provide great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. A great experience. We will be back!

Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast is a very special place in a very special city. It continues to be a ""must"" for our family in our frequent visits to New Orleans. Our most recent stay was in May 2010. In the four years we've been staying there -- one of the only courageous inns to open post-Katrina almost 5 years ago when our son wanted to visit Tulane University -- the service always is efficient and kind. Even after all these years, we were still greeted with a delicious home-baked still-warm cookie. Everything was, as always, in order so that we could get right to our room after heavy travel. And the rooms ? each one is light, airy and beautiful. Joe and Bebe Rabahn really care about their guests. To us, they are like family. That is how you feel when you arrive and when you leave. That is why we and so many others always come back.

If your going to visit a historic and rich city like New Orleans you not only want a ""local place"" to stay but people who can really help you make the most of your trip. Staying at The Avenue Inn is the perfect place for my wife and I...so much so that we've stayed there on a third trip to New Orleans! Charming, clean and homey. Best of all, the proprietors are helpful, funny and really know this town. The B&B is large so you feel more like you're staying in an upscale boarding house from the turn of the century. The neighborhood location is perfect and the rooms are just so friendly and unique. I usually go for business and take my wife for an extra day or two of fun in New Orleans. We can't wait to stay a fourth time...
