Its amazing to read all these reviews and see that I wasnt the only one unsatisfied with my stay at Maurice Guillot properties. He is racist! He tried to bully me and control my living on his property. He told me I couldn't put my thermostat below 70 degrees in my apartment. He told me I couldn't bacl my car up on his property because it was a liability. My family came visit me and their vehicle dropped some water on the cement. We went outside to a letter on my dad's car saying move or it will be towed. Didn't provide a reason until I called the office. They said it had to move off his property because it was leaking oil. Sad part was it was water not all. In another instant I had to get an attorney for him. It's been alot and I'm so happy my lease is over next month. I don't recommend this rental property for anything. I loved where I stayed, the people were nice, but the damn landlord is a mess. He will have you wanting to whip his ass! When it gets like that it's time to go! And guess what IT'S TIME TO GO!! I'M SO HAPPY MY LEASE IS UP! I hope this helps anyone who would even consider this property as their home. This has been the worst customer service I have experienced in 20 years of driving over the road 17 years as an owner operator. After already spending 3500.00 for repairs I can not get my estimate for body work I wanted to get done there. The other estimate I received from another local company was at 13000.00 So if I had decided to get my work done there it would of been about 17000.00 of service from this location. NOBODY has contacted me about this problem. I have contacted the corporate office four times and have not heard from a District manager or a Regional manager about this problem . Not only is the customer service horrible but it also is the leadership from the corporate office that seems to be just as weak. Mr. Chakraearty at the corporate office needs to be replaced by someone who can show better leadership and results with Kenworth customer service.
I rented from Maurice and his management team and just as the other reviews said, it wasn't a pleasant experience. My rent was always paid on time and sometimes a couple months in advance. However, as a tenant, I could never get anyone to come out to my rental to repair my plumbing, electrical, or basic maintenance and when they did, they would send me a letter stating that I have to pay for the repair. The apartment was in bad shape when I moved in and I maintained it the entire time I lived there to the best of my ability. This property management didn't maintain the outside of the rentals let alone the inside of them. Maurice and his staff aren't friendly and the letters they send their tenants always have a threat in bold letters somewhere within the letters. Maurice also doesn't make it very easy for his tenants to pay their rent. He only accepts money orders or checks and it's best if you drop them off rather than mail them in. There's a good chance that they wouldn't receive them if you were to mail them. We haven't lived in this property for almost a year now, this is my experience with this property management and the people who run it. I still know all my neighbors and some still live there and are on the verge of moving because of all the issues they are having with Maurice.
This place should be shut down. I give it one star because I can't give it 0 stars. My insurance company placed my wife here for rehab of broken bones. I didn't know anything about this place before this. But I do now. I would rather let my family members die before paying this place for their non-services.

Sandy Downing, property manager, has very poor customer service skills. She was only friendly at the point of obtaining business. Afterwards, she became very non-responsive and would ignore requests for assistance with vital maintenance repairs. Several attempts at contact had to be made before she would respond. She would express discontent and become angry when I would request legitimate repairs. Sandy Downing displayed rudeness and arrogance and did not care at all about any concern. Upon giving 2 month notice of vacating property, she found every excuse not to refund any portion of my rental deposit. I stated that I felt she was being difficult and I would like to speak to the property owner. Sandy Downing stated that she was the owner of the company,that she would not share contact information of the property owner, and that she was blocking my phone number. There was no damage to the property. I would certainly discourage anyone from renting any property she manages.
Ken and Rose were very l patient with us as nervous first time home buyers. they always answered the phone when we called with questions. They were very knowledgeable of the Uptown area we were looking in and helped us every stepnof the way. Thank you guys!!
Ken and Rose were wonderful to work with. They sold my property very quickly. We knew of their reputation and basically left it in their hands to get it done. They kept us informed and the whole process was smooth. They told us what the market price for the property was and found us a cash buyer. After the property was sold, we contacted them several times with questions and they were always quick to pick up the phone or call you back. They know the market well and marketed our property in an agrgessive manner. We have more New Orleans property and will use them as our listing agent.
