Where do I start? Brought my car in with the ac not cooling. Three weeks later, they still have the car and I have to contact them repeatedly throughout that three weeks to get updates. Final call I was finally told the car was ready. Over $700 in repairs to the ac. Two days later driving the car home from work and the ac goes out. Call to let them know so I can bring it in and the guy tells me not to bring it in until Wednesday because they are “busy.” Now the car has been there a week with no communication AGAIN on their part. I call to find out what’s going on and they say they have checked it twice and it’s working. We need to bring it back when the ac isn’t working. I tell him that’s exactly what I tried to do on that Monday and was told you were too busy and now the car has been sitting there for a week and no one even called to tell me to come pick it up. Now, went to go pick up the car and talk to the owner, Roger or Robert, honestly can’t remember because I’m so annoyed. My husband leaves with the car while I’m talking to him. No real apology from the owner, just blaming someone who he said he fired because he is ruining his reputation, which I don’t believe for the sole reason I had to call to check up on my car and received no communication from them. If the guy was so horrible and making your reputation so bad, you should have been going down the list of vehicles in your garage and make sure everyone was being taken care of and updated on their car’s situation. When I get home, I have the pleasure of learning the AC stopped working as my husband made it home. I call them to let them know this. 1 month wasted. 93 degrees outside. No apology. Roger said he is leaving for the day and to call him tomorrow, not he’ll call me and he will make it right. If you want an ounce of customer service go anywhere else. I plan on getting my money back and going somewhere else. Sure will be nice to sweat out this week driving to work. Thanks for nothing, Wren’s.
Do NOT rent a house or apartment from ELY EDWARDS ENTERPRISES!!!He is an "absentee landlord" or if you prefer, slumlord. His only concern is the money he can squeeze out of the government. The houses have rat holes, the roofs leak, the wiring is ancient, and the appliances are pre 70s. Repairs are few and far between. He obviously has friends at HANO because there is NO way many of his properties should pass inspection. He is part of what's wrong with America and especially the City of New Orleans. He should not be allowed to participate in this program. Only thing that is paramount to Mr. Edwards is money. Altruism is not part of his vocabulary.
Its amazing to read all these reviews and see that I wasnt the only one unsatisfied with my stay at Maurice Guillot properties. He is racist! He tried to bully me and control my living on his property. He told me I couldn't put my thermostat below 70 degrees in my apartment. He told me I couldn't bacl my car up on his property because it was a liability. My family came visit me and their vehicle dropped some water on the cement. We went outside to a letter on my dad's car saying move or it will be towed. Didn't provide a reason until I called the office. They said it had to move off his property because it was leaking oil. Sad part was it was water not all. In another instant I had to get an attorney for him. It's been alot and I'm so happy my lease is over next month. I don't recommend this rental property for anything. I loved where I stayed, the people were nice, but the damn landlord is a mess. He will have you wanting to whip his ass! When it gets like that it's time to go! And guess what IT'S TIME TO GO!! I'M SO HAPPY MY LEASE IS UP! I hope this helps anyone who would even consider this property as their home. After telling us it would be $270 on top of the warranty charges of $534 to repair a radiator on my wife's 2010 Town and Country, they returned the vehicle in the same condition they received it only I was out a total of $800 and still didn't have a car that would drive with the same problem it was brought in for in the first place. To date no returned call from management. Please save yourself time and money stay away from these thieves.
I rented from Maurice and his management team and just as the other reviews said, it wasn't a pleasant experience. My rent was always paid on time and sometimes a couple months in advance. However, as a tenant, I could never get anyone to come out to my rental to repair my plumbing, electrical, or basic maintenance and when they did, they would send me a letter stating that I have to pay for the repair. The apartment was in bad shape when I moved in and I maintained it the entire time I lived there to the best of my ability. This property management didn't maintain the outside of the rentals let alone the inside of them. Maurice and his staff aren't friendly and the letters they send their tenants always have a threat in bold letters somewhere within the letters. Maurice also doesn't make it very easy for his tenants to pay their rent. He only accepts money orders or checks and it's best if you drop them off rather than mail them in. There's a good chance that they wouldn't receive them if you were to mail them. We haven't lived in this property for almost a year now, this is my experience with this property management and the people who run it. I still know all my neighbors and some still live there and are on the verge of moving because of all the issues they are having with Maurice.
HORRIBLE experience!! Wish I would have read the comments before calling him. Made an appt and waited for him all day. He never showed!!! He sent a text and said, "sorry, i got busy!" Very unprofessional. Will post to as many places as possible so no one has to deal with him. Rodney is his name.
I just LOVE this Place! We took advantage of a great deal going on right now, for their 67 Anniversary Celebration Sale. Seems like tons of Jefferson Auto 'Services' are only $67 each. So we took advantage of a front brake job for only $67 for everything, while I was their for some emergency work, ( which they took care of really quickly) thanks again, MAC~
This place is very bad; they seem to be going on the reputation of the former owner who was the father & supposed to be a real legend for caring for his customers. The crew is so negative, lies all the time, promises to do what you request, then do only what they want. Then they charge for things you didn't request & told them not to do. Also double charged for things. When I told them that I need the overcharges to come off of the bill, they told me that they would be starting to charge me storage fees until I paid them. I filled out a report against them online with the Attorney General's office & got some money knocked off of the bill, but the rest they ignorantly refused to take off. I got the car only because I was afraid they would do damage to it since it was somewhere I had no knowledge of. Sure enough, I discovered they didn't do something right so I had to pay another $460 to another mechanic to remedy the situation. Losers & thieves they are. I grew up as a mechanic's helper & explained this to them over the phone before car was towed in, as well as when I spoke to the mechanic over the phone. But they don't care about the customers. Don't trust them.
Nothing but good things to say about Jefferson Auto! a guy named Josh fixed my car while i was waiting! Could not ask for better service, the price was fair and I got to eat popcorn and relax with my phone in their waiting room, nice
If I could I would give them 0 stars. The staff is unprepared the type of work they do is poor and be lucky if you get your car in this shop with and issue and they don't end up returning it with another one just so they keep charging u more money .. so if u want to save urself some headaches pick another shop
