The term arthritis describes a condition characterized by degeneration of the cartilage around one or more joints. It can be caused by systemic illnesses, such as rheumatoid arthritis or gout. Osteoarthritis refers to the degeneration of cartilage around a joint which is not linked to a systemic illness. This is usually secondary to previous injury, infection, or just use of the joint over time.
Cryotherapy

I saw Dr. Bloch almost 3 years ago for chronic sinusitis and frequent acute sinus infections. I also had daily sinus headaches and had trouble breathing fully through my nose. Dr. Bloch performed a balloon sinuplasty and it was a great success. My sinus problems really affected my daily life and to be symptom- and infection-free and to breathe freely was amazing to me. I appreciate so much the care and treatment provided by Dr. Bloch. He’s not only very skilled but, also, personable and caring.
Medical Weight Loss
Reflux occurs when stomach acid leaks into the esophagus from the stomach. The esophagus is the tube that leads from the mouth into the stomach. It has 2 valves that help it work correctly. The lower valve is meant to keep acid in the stomach and the upper valve keeps acid out of the upper throat. If a little acid creeps up into the esophagus it may not cause heartburn because the lining of the esophagus is built to withstand it. If lots of acid gets past the valve it will cause heartburn. When only a little acid gets past both valves it may irritate the back of the voice box. The voice box cannot tolerate any acid so even a little can cause problems. This is called silent reflux and is very common. Some of the symptoms of silent reflux are dry cough, throat clearing, hoarseness and the sensation of a lump in the throat. Silent reflux may be treatable with simple dietary changes, elevating the head of the bed, weight loss or medication.
Pediatric Care
I took my 9-yr-old to Dr. Batti to check for any ENT-related issues that might be causing the behavior of constant throat clearing. Neither of us had been to an ENT specialist before so we did not know what to expect. The exam entailed inserting a thin, flexible, spaghetti-like scope up the nostrils and down into the throat to see if there are any visible abnormalities. I have to commend Dr. Batti for his gentle and friendly manner, which put my kid at ease during a physically uncomfortable and awkward exam. Highly recommend, especially for pediatric care!
Snoring
Snoring and sleep apnea are not the same thing although they may occur together. Snoring is very common and is caused by vibrations in the upper airway. When breathing, air should pass freely though the nose. If there’s any blockage to this flow, the palate and other structures in the throat may vibrate causing snoring. Snoring can be quiet or very loud. When sleeping, the structures in the throat relax and can vibrate more easily. The deeper you sleep the more relaxed the muscles and the more likely you will snore. That’s why alcohol, some antihistamines and sleeping medicines amongst other medicines are common causes of snoring. Excess weight is may be a significant causative factor.

Jay Klarsfeld took such great care of me during a very scary time and was with me through every step of my recovery. He’s a kind man who took the time to really listen to me. You don’t get that from many doctors these days. Thank you to Dr.Klarsfeld and the amazing staff, you are all wonderful!

Treat the reaction the same way that you would treat any food allergic reaction. If symptoms are mild, such a mild rash/hives, itchy mouth/throat or mild stomach ache, administer a quick onset antihistamine by mouth (cetirizine/Zyrtec or diphenhydramine/Benadryl). If mild symptoms are progressing, include difficulty breathing or anaphylaxis, administer the epinephrine auto-injector (such as EpiPen or Auvi-Q) and contact the rescue squad for transport to the emergency room. Please notify our office, since the peanut dose may need to be adjusted.

Laser Eye Surgery
Dr June fixed my Droopy eyelid. My right eyelid had been drooping for a lot of years. It started to droop after I had eye surgery years ago. it had gotten worse and covered half of my right eye. Some people thought I had had a stroke. I became very self conscious about it. Dr June assured me that she would fix it and it would look the same as my left eyelid. Dr June was very informative about the survey pre-op. Dr. June was amazing before the surgery and she made me feel comfortable and assured prior to the surgery. After the surgery, I had no pain and little bruising and swelling which was normal. Within a week I was looking normal and enjoying my new look. Both of my eyelids were symmetrical. Im still amazed at the result. My eyes look normal now..No more droopy eyelid. Thank You Dr. June.

Dr. Klarsfeld is an amazing doctor. Highly recommend him. He saved my life!! I needed an MRI and was denied twice. He actually pushed for me and final received an MRI which they found a tumor the size of an Apple where my brain is. Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery is usually performed using local anesthetic supplemented by sedation. The incisions are well hidden in the natural creases of the eyelids. Any excess skin, fat, and hypertrophied muscle is removed. Very fine sutures are used to close the incisions.

I had a tummy tuck, liposuction of the flanks and the abdomen area and the fat that they extracted was placed on my breasts (Breast grass lifting). I am very happy with my new figure I look like I looked 10 years ago again. The pre or post operative process was excellent. I had no complications, no infections. I was able to handle the pain very well. Excellent office and surgical center staff. The Doctor’s nurse is excellent, super friendly, polite, she makes you feel like the most special person.

There are also some possible complications that are associated with surgery in general. All surgical procedures carry the possibility of considerable blood loss, requiring a blood transfusion. Fortunately, this occurs very rarely in reconstructive breast surgery. Since surgery involves opening the skin, all surgical procedures also have a risk of infection. Again, this is rare in breast reconstruction and when it does occur, it is often treated adequately with antibiotics. Other more rare, but serious complications include a blood clot or embolus, pneumonia, or an unexpected response (or allergic reaction) to certain drugs or anesthetics.

There are other cosmetic problems that contribute to the overall appearance of the eyes. These may not be corrected by eyelid surgery alone. For example, a sagging brow may require a forehead lift. Fine wrinkles (crow’s feet) around the eyes can be improved with chemical peels or laser resurfacing. Also, bleaching agents can be used to lighten the appearance of dark circles.
Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. A compressive garment must be worn post-operatively. Most patients resume normal activities in a day or two. Upper body exercise is not permitted for 4 weeks.

Dr. Islam was wonderful! I had my breasts done here and you can not even tell they aren’t mine ! Minimal scarring, you can barely see where the incision was. The cost of the surgury was very reasonable! I recommend using this practice if you plan to have some cosmetic surgery.

They are sometimes called screamer’s nodes, teacher’s nodes or singer’s nodes. These names indicate the type of individual most likely to develop nodules due to voice abuse. Vocal cord polyps are more fleshy and usually larger growths. They also form from voice abuse. Smoking may cause vocal polyps as well.

Yes, they’re one and the same. The nose has 2 bones that a form a sort of pyramid. If the nose is hit hard, one or both bones may break in one or more places. The broken bones will usually change the appearance of the nose by shifting it to the side or flattening it. Black eyes will also usually appear as well as swelling of the nose and face around the nose. The nose may bleed from the torn membranes in the nose. The septum may be broken as well, thereby causing a deviated septum. Sports injuries, falls, auto accidents and fist fights are common causes of a broken nose. We have had an excellent experience with Dr. Bell. We switched to him from our previous allergist due to his extensive knowledge about food allergies, and his ability to communicate the entire process to us (we are there now for OIT). He makes sure that we are always on the same page, whether it is guiding us during the peanut desensitization process or interpreting the results of food allergy testing.. He is so kind and friendly to my son as well who is 5 years old. I would highly recommend!
