Beauty land is great!! If u need something for cutting hair,they have it! I needed a specific set of clippers,and I couldn't find them anywhere,so I went to beauty land and they had them!! Great store,great merchandise,and great people!!! Love em!

All of these complaints stem from women who openly admit to having little, to no previous experience with hairstyling. Why would you expect your purchase to transform you into a professional? Why blame the retailer and not the manufacturer? I agree with the store owner, why should he absorb blame for something due to your lack of education or incapability to follow instructions? Do you blame Macy's when your jeans dont fit? Do you blame Walmart when your bandaid falls off? Do you blame CVS when your nail polish chips?Ridiculous!I've NEVER had a problem with beautyland. Know why? I know what I'm purchasing and read directions.
I am the stupid friend that suggested my friends visit Beauty Land. I was also taken for a ride by Beauty Land employees.. I was waiting for my grandson next door at karate and thought I'd poke around Beauty Land. A salesgirl came right up to me and was immediately suggesting hair colors and brands she highly recommended. She really seemed to know her stuff and she talked me into becoming a red head like I was daydreaming about. The dye she sold me on was a permanent variety and it turned out to be complete garbage. Not only was it fading within 2 days, but it started to fade to a horrendous pinkish color. Im in my late 50's and punk rock girl pink hair isn't cute on me. When I brought my grandson to karate later that week, I brought the dye packaging and receipt back with me so I could see if Beauty Land would rectify the situation. Of course, the woman who couldnt have been more helpful while trying to make the sale, quickly changed back to Chinese language only and suddenly couldn't understand me and said I must talk to the owner in their New London store. I was so angry at this point, that I did visit the New London store later in the week. The owner was awfully short with me and just as rude as he could be. I explained to him what happened and what his salesgirl had told me. His curt and obnoxiously rude answer was You Use Wrong. Not My Problem. So I will NEVER recommend this store or its rude obnoxious owner to anyone ever again. BE VERY WARY of what you're buying if you shop here. You will waste your time and money and you won't get what you paid for.
AVOID! HORRIBLE STORE! Avoid this beauty supply company like the plague. Where to begin...The owner is quite possibly the RUDEST person on earth. I placed an out of stock order on a Monday. Was told to see the owner for pick up on Friday. I went in Friday as directed, the owner says to me "No pick up order.Sorry not company fault". Then he turned and walked away from me, just like that! Also, my girlfriend bought some extensions while I placed my "special order", and they completely fell apart within an hour of wearing them! AVOID AVOID AVOID, WASTE OF TIME & RUDE RUDE RUDE
