Went here to fix an at-home-hair disaster that I didn't want to mess with and make any worse myself. Long story short I had orange hair so I came to Charles morris in hopes to get rid of the orange. The lady who did my hair kept changing what she was going to do with my hair and ended up just giving me a bunch of highlights which caused the orange to be WAY more noticeable. In the end I had the same orange hair with more highlights on the top of my head that I did not want and I spent 88 DOLLARS on it. I even told her I was unhappy with it and she looked annoyed and said there was nothing she could do. Went right to sally beauty supply after this and they suggested a toner for me that made the orange come right out. The toner was 5 DOLLARS. I went in asking for the orange to be removed and left with the same and, even more noticeable orange. NEVER will EVER give Charles morris my business again.
I really love this location! I've been here 4-5 times and have always left feeling satisfied with my service. The nail technicians are attentive and super sweet. They do a great job with both my hands and feet and take their TIME. The part that I appreciate the most is that if something is wrong, I've never had their technicians give me attitude about redoing a nail or going back to fix something. This is my go-to spot!
I have been to their location on cedar in new lenox & I have also recently visited their new location on Rt 30, with a new phone number. I have always had a wonderful experience when I come here. The owner is very friendly, honest & affordable. They never rush me or make me feel like I'm on an assembly line. I prefer to make appointments because I know at times it can be very busy, but I can also walk in and they will try to get me in. My favorite part is I don't need a translator! I bring my daughters in and they always have a fun time! I recommend this business for a great experience. I call 779-205-3332 at the new locationAngela ShamonskiTerri Klinder & family
I LOVE this Salon. I'm a little late in my review (sorry) but on August 8th I went for a haircut and it happened to be my birthday. They knew and offered to style my hair and makeup as a gift! I had told them about my dinner plans with my boyfriend in the city and they were so wonderful. I will never forget that day. I have never felt more special. Thanks again!! I was just thinking about that day and thought the internet should know about it. :)
Wish I could give them (0) stars.Unlike Sue, I was not able to get a refund on my Living Social voucher. I went with 2 friends and asked for mani/pedis. She said she was finishing up a private party, and would we come back in 45 minutes. When we came back, I said 2 of us have LS vouchers. She said she couldn't do those because we needed to make an appointment 24 hours in advance, and those were for no chip, which take longer. We said, fine, we will just pay cash for a regular mani/pedi and use the vouchers another time. She told us that she could not do mani/pedis for all 3 of us, she didn't have time. She could have told us that 45 minutes earlier, we wouldn't have wasted our time waiting. We left.Made an appointment 2 weeks later to us these 2 vouchers that were about to expire. The day of the appointment, there was an accident less than a mile from the place, and I was 10 minutes late. My friend was going to be another 10 minutes. I was told if she was more than 15 minutes late, she would need to reschedule, because there are other appointments after her. She didn't make it. But no one else came in. And I had to wait 20 minutes between my manicure and pedicure, so what was the big deal about her being late? It wouldn't even have made them close later, because we still would have had to wait for the pedicure stations to open up.At the end of the appointment, they rushed me out with wet toenails, because they wanted to close. And I went to reschedule my friend's appointment for her, they said they wouldn't honor the voucher, because she missed her appointment, but that she could use it as a $28 store credit. She came in the next day and asked if she could use the voucher, and was told yes, but to come back in 30 minutes. When she came back, the owner came flying out of the back to yell at her that her voucher would not be honored. When my friend questioned the Sunday deadline, the owner called the police! Can you believe it? And when my friend posted a bad review on my living social account, she banned me from her store! (not that I would ever have gone back). And the nail experience...that was terrible. They don't soak your cuticles before pushing them back. It was painful. And my no chip is cracking and chipping after less than a week.I can't believe this place is still in business.
Just left Pretty Penny Nail Salon….ugh…Drove from Minooka to New Lenox (30 minutes). Walked in the door & was warmly greeted by a woman who asked how they could help me. I told her I wanted to mani/pedi. She asked me if I wanted a no-chip or regular manicure. I told her I wanted a no chip because I had a Living Social Voucher for a no chip. When the woman found out that I had the voucher she instantly became angry and told me that she had to check her book in back to see if she had time for me. She was gone for about 5 minutes & when she came out she told me that she didn’t have to time to do my mani/pedi. She had 3 appts at 5:00. It was only 4:15 and not busy in the shop. It just seems funny that she had time when for me when she thought I was paying full price, but then didn’t have time when she found out I had the voucher. When I got home I call Living Social and they refunded my $ and said they had had similar complaints about this business.
