Overall

Dirty store with kids always jumping on the registers and poor customer service you'll find mold older than you in there! Very disgusting store hated shopping there

I used to work for this company! Whenever I left Simoneaud's, I hugged Miss Toni (the co-owner) and cried. Waking up in the morning, I would be excited to go to work as if I were Spongebob. They treat their workers like family (there are so few, anyway!), and even the grandkids of the Simoneauds have time cards.

The food in the deli is to die for! You can't get homemade, hot, non-packaged Cajun food like this anywhere in New Iberia. Don't believe me? Try getting in and out of Simoneauds during lunch time in 10 minutes. It's downright impossible. And the grocery selection may seem small (and expensive sometimes), but consider the fact that many of the vegetables are local, and a good amount of the food on the shelves are things you can't find like anywhere else. I'm a St. Louis native, and to see that my store had toasted ravioli (a Missouri thing) in the freezer section tickled me to death!

If you haven't been here, you're missing out on one of the most beautiful things in life: An old timey Mom and Pop store that still has bag boys that would gladly help your grandma carry her groceries to her car.
