This place is awful. My wife has been using them to commute from the train station to her job on Long Wharf. It is a high traffic area and literally no more than 1 or 2 miles. Cabs have been 1/2 hour to an hour late on a regular basis. When she calls, they'll tell her the cab will be there in 7 minutes. They say the same thing when she calls back 15 minutes later. The entire purpose of my visit to the yellow pages was to find her other cab companies, but I was so pissed off about this place that I had to warn the rest of you to avoid wasting your time. Walking would be quicker. And negative stars would be more honest.
This is literally the most rude and unreliable cab company I have ever dealt with. I called the 203-777-7778 number at around 11:45 the night before my flight to get a cab for the next morning at 6AM. I was promised a cab and woke up the next morning ready to go to the airport. 6:10 rolls around and there is no cab. I call the original number back and a very asleep sounding man answers the phone. I tell him my situation and he says that since I called so late at night I had been talking to someone else that had his phone and that I needed to call a different number. Despite being slightly peeved I did it anyway - the number was disconnected. It is now 6:20 and I call the original number back when the man, who I apparently had woken up again, said that there were no other cabs and that I needed to find another company. My boyfriend had already been calling other taxis and car services to no avail as it was a Monday morning and everyone was going to work already. I told the original man that and he told me too bad and that it wasn't his problem. I then told him if I had to pay extra for any flight changes he was responsible at which he promptly started yelling at me that it wasn't his fault and that he can't control where the number is directed to and hung up on me. I tried calling back and he did not pick up. 7 AM came and passed and thankfully I was able to get ahold of another cab company to take me to the airport for the next flight. I am now delayed 6 hours and have had to cancel many previous engagements. Long story short: do not trust this company.

My interaction with the driver for this company was one of the worse and most disrepectful interactions I've ever had. I got into the cab and told the driver my address, he immediately asked if I had cash. I told him I had cash and my husband would be meeting me at the car to pay when I arrived. He says to me "I'm not taking you because you ain't gonna pay". His english was far from perfect. I then had to assure him I had cash in my pocket by pulling it out and showing it to him, only then was he willing to take my fare. Needless to say, by this point I felt degraded and disrepected, and was no longer interested in spending my money with this company. I called the number on the taxi, and explained what happened to me to the individual that answered. As I shared with him my experience, he confirmed he knew exactly which driver I'd interacted with, because he'd gotten the same complaint before and there are only 2 drivers for the company. Apparently this guy does this often to African American women. Please do not spend your hard earned money with Quick Taxi. The one star is only because I had to click a star in order to post the review.
This place is horrible. If you ever need a cab company in New Haven choose any other but this place. Worst experience ever. My wife needed a cab to get to work and she arrives only to find out they do not take credit card and has no cash. What company in 2012 does not take a credit card? Even McDonald's is capable of this medial task. They also lack the ability to take a payment over the phone with a debit or credit card. So my wife ends up late as well as forced to be driven to a bank to retrieve cash. Worst company ever. Do yourself a favor and take the bus or walk.
