Provided by SuperpagesThe food at Louis' Lunch is fresh and delicious. You can't go to New Haven and not stop in for a burger! Tasty and cheap. Doesn't get any better.

This is the best burger you will ever have and the atmosphere is awesome. Go with an open mind and do not try to compare it to the chain food. It's about the meat - not the just you can pile on it. Get a cheeseburger with the works and yes...NO KETCHUP!

Well who said a burger on two pieces of white bread was out-of-date or something poor people eat? POPPY KOCK!!! BALDERDASH!!!
Get on over to the famous small "hole-in-the-wall" called Louis Lunch.
Being from out-of-town I was unfamiliar with this legendary icon. Now my belly, my being has had a piece of TRUE AMERICANA!!!! Please bring your patience and order correctly!!! This is a small two-man operation!!! The journey of the order and waiting around a large wooden table in the corner, talking with strangers is all apart of this culinary legend!!!
You know what, the beef was SPECTACULAR!!! Go get one, order two, cuz you will want another when your done with the first.

Provided by SuperpagesThe hamburgers are "okay", very basic beef patties with no seasoning. Choices are cheeseburger or hamburger plain, cheeseburger or hamburger w/ tomato, cheeseburger or hamburger w/onions, cheeseburger or hamburger w/ tomato & onion, they are all served on toasted white bread and no condiments are available. There is a selection of potato chips to purchase as sides and numerous beverage options. It's definitely the restaurant itself and the fact that the same propane burners are in sill use today since it's opening in 1895 that draws the patrons. The place is tiny and has seating for approximately 22 people.
