Toni's Alterations & Tailor

Worst experience ever!! Toni is rude and disorganized and a busy body! Our dresses weren't done when she said they would be and she never wrote down the date of the wedding. She didnt fix everything the first time and one of the girls dresses had snags in it where she caught it with a needle. The lining under our dresses ended up crooked from the way she hemmed them and when we called to see if our dresses were finally ready she told us that she had bigger problems than our dresses because her husband was sick and said our dresses werent important. On top of it all she charges outrageous prices. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone!!!!

Toni is a real prize. Why it is that hairdressers and tailors are the flakiest people in the service industry I cannot explain. as for Toni, she is a chat box and does not speak English necessarily well, at least not well enough to know when she is giving offense. She had given me great offense, and I stopped using her long ago. As a busy, stay-at-home dad with small children at home, I was offended after telling Toni what I did for a living, in response to her question regarding same. I stated that in addition to being the at-home parent that I did some computer consulting on the side. Toni replied, "Oh, good," with some sense of relief I might add, as though she was embarrassed to have a person such as me in her little shop, "I thought you was a bum!" A bum? A bum?! Evidently does not know that a bum has no home, has no job, no family that cares about them and is ragged. I would like to know how a "bum" is able to come into her shop, regularly, and lay down $160 for alterations of fine clothing. Happy not to be going back there. I was not going to waste my time defining the word "bum" to her. Rather, I chose to listen to my wife and not return there. Being the final straw, I came away concluding that I am tired of trying to communicate, orally, with persons who do not speak English and whom live and work in America. I hope that does not make me a bigot, rather, it is just no longer my desire to interact with such persons. It is too much of a strain. Too much work, and too much of an effort. I am sure there are plenty of other persons they can learn from.
