The whole point of going here is to experience the rotating view. Yup, this is a rotating bar, offering a really great, 360 view of Downtown LA. The bar moves just slowly enough that you won't get motion sickness and just fast enough that you'll see all of DTLA in under 2 hours. As for the food and drink, they're perfectly fine. The catch is that this is a hotel bar, and so they charge hotel prices - so be prepared for a $17 martini. If it's any consolation, it's made with top shelf liquor. My only real complaint is that the service has been consistently slow. My servers are always friendly, but food is slow to come out and they don't check on you often enough. Still, if you have visitors from out of town and you want to dazzle them a bit - this is a site to consider.
I love seeing bands at Mr. T's and I've seen some great ones. It's an old bowling alley, and the alleys are in the back stage area which is pretty neat. Other than that it's really run down and divey, but the staff tends to be pretty cool and they get some great shows. Parking is easy right out back (at least it was the last time I went).
A great neighborhood bar. The bartenders are knowledgeable and they have a variety of beer on tap. I LOVED the interior. It's dark and dreary but in a relaxing, trendy way. You'll want to enjoy the atmosphere for a couple hours. Upstairs there's a small lounge area with a comfortable couch. I'll definitely go back!
Love the ambiance and decor here. Really nice place to order bottle service, order some great food (I recommend the oysters) and enjoy some great music. Eat before 10 though because then it morphs more to the club scene side rather than the restaurant feel. Really nice hostess and service.
Really cool place. Before 7pm its a quiet place to lounge and have a drink. After that the crowd starts pouring in and by 10pm the music gets loud and becomes a different atmosphere. The decor and furniture is very cool. Drinks are pretty good too, but pricey.
I've been going here for nearly 20 years and it's always a fun time at the bar. The drinks are reasonable and strong. Free popcorn, brilliant jukebox and comfy booths make this a wonderful watering hole for locals.
This place feels cozy and intimate because it's below street level, small and dimly lit. Nice, low-key spot for a glass of wine and shareable eats (cheese plates, flatbreads, etc).
This place is the best in the area, full of interesting people and the drinks are not that bad and not that expensive, I could see my self going back in here.
This place is such a wonderful place! They have some of the best drinks in here and the people that go here are just as amazing as the ambiance in here!
I've enjoying going here.. drinks are on-point and service is impeccable..casual yet upscale place for pre-dinner drinks
