From Business: Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger sta…
My family and I visit New Braunfels quite frequently and this is our "must eat" destination. They serve every kind of omelette imaginable! My favorite is the "Southwest" which is made with avocados. I'm also a big fan of the biscuits and gravy, home fries and the migas are…

Me and a friend rode by this place on the backside of New Braunfels. We turned around and stepped in. It looks like most back road Texas cafe's - weather beaten wooden exterior, and even more wore out inside. Just the way it should be. We had bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a Shiner Black or…
have had to send back more steaks here than at ALL the other steak houses in my life put together...best beer in town, just terrible food, no wonder it's closed down, sign removed, VACANT BUILDING
The Union Street Diner (its real name!) has recently had a change of owners. We've enjoyed getting to know them! So older remarks about the "unfriendly owners" aren't true any longer!
Great place to eat. One of my favorites.
Great food great service.
We dined there on a referral. I had the shrimp and green onion cakes with jalapeno mayonnaise. These were the high point of the meal. The side of fried asparagus was inedible. The medallions of beef with mixed grill was slightly better, especially the horseradish mayo. Service was hit or miss.
Not really a fan, the food looks good but I was really disappointed in the quality. This was my last visit. I had a Cinnamon roll that was more like a dry cupcake with very little cinnamon and no brown sugar. Not sweet, not good. On a Saturday morning, there is no excuse for stall pastries.
Good service and good food...I would recommend.
It sucks. I tried to order a lemonade but no refills. So I ask for a Mason jar lemonade an watermelon. 4.99. Wanted a steak w/ a bake potato. Comes with only butter. Want bacon an butter 1.99 extra.
Love the samual Adams draft beer at this place..
