Firestone Complete Auto Care

Took my 2008 Mustang to get new tires. My owners manual with the booklet and logo, "MUSTANG," on the outside plastic cover, turned up missing and I know the mechanic had to get into my glove compartment to get my key for the lug nuts. I asked the manager about it a couple of days later and he said he knew nothing about it. I turned my house upside down and detailed my car looking for it, but I knew it had been there was there because I had referenced it a few days earlier to set up my Sirius satellite service. I will never go back to that place.

I have had several repairs done by this shop, as well as routine maintenance, and have to say I have never once thought they were out to mislead me in any way. I have been very happy with the quality of work (Go Steve!), and appreciate the level of customer service provided by Mark & Nathan. I am moving away, and will definitely miss these guys! I wish all Firestone shops were this friendly and reliable.

Unbelievable service today. My husband and I took my car to them last week, the guy quoted that the entire fix would be a little over $400. At no point did he talk to me, he only talked to my husband. It is my car not his. But It needed repairs. So today I took it in for the repairs by myself, my husband is out of town and the guy tried to make me sign a quote for $951. That is not a little over $400. I called him on it he said "oh yea". and went about fixing the problem on the computer and then he said it would be $730. $89 of that was for antifreeze!!! Antifreeze is around $15 a gallon, how much were they planning to put in my car? $730 is a huge jump from $400. I'm not a dumb girl that is just going to be okay with this because I don't understand cars. It is not acceptable to treat me one way when my husband is there and then take me for a idiot when he is not. The guy tried to claim that he only quoted me some of the repairs. Why would you only quote some of the repairs when we asked last week how much will it would all cost? What kind of service is that?

They have made a huge mistake. The money isn't the issue, it's the

treatment. I encourage everyone to find a place other than Firestone in New Braunfels to take their cars.

Firestone Auto Care on Walnut Ave has an excellent reputation for years. They completely check my vehicle and have never changed any parts or fluids unnecessarily. They even called the manufacturer and had them replace my one year old battery for free since is scored low on the voltage test! There is no sales pitch, just telling you what you need and the price is fair. Always make an appt as they are busy. Ask for "El Jefe", Mark Gray when you go. He has over 40 years of experience and too many stories, many from his years in South Texas growing up.
