PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME. THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!! What has happened to Supercuts? Wow! Long time customer and hoping to continue good service since moving to New Bern. But!!! Not to be found there. To begin, I went to the store, not on a busy day, to have a hair cut, as I have done for many years. That was not going to happen. I was told by the very imposing person behind the desk that I could not walk in. Wait! Wasn't that a "walk in for appointment" sign in the window and on the door? Yup. Well things must have changed. She took my name and told me I had to wait an hour and a half, and to come back at 3:30 PM. So, OK, I agreed. Went for a walk and for some shopping, and at 3:15 headed back to Supercuts. An accident had occurred on the main road, but it was soon cleared up. When I got to Supercuts, I was told by another commanding person that I was almost 5 minutes late and therefore they could not see me. I tried to explain that there had been an accident on the main highway, but she said no. Now, what did I say? I said, "this is ridiculous. This isn't an appointment only place like Warren-Tricomi in New York. This is Supercuts. The signs say walk in for an appointment. And I have been waiting now almost 2 hours." I left and went nearby and walked in for an appointment at a real salon. And just check this out from the Supercuts(dot) com website: "With more than 2,400 no-appointment-required hair salons across the country, Supercuts offers consistent, quality haircuts at a moment’s notice." OK, good to know, right? Only it isn't true. Go elsewhere everyone.
So I had been trying this new location out and really liked the quality if the cut. However I have to say that I went yesterday and left my sunglasses on the workstation of Jamie who cut my hair. When I went back today to ask for it I was treated really harshly and with very very rude attitude. When I asked for the manager it turned out to be the lady that was being the rudest to me. Back story is Jamie saw my sunglasses and realized I had left them but decided to just throw them on the front counter instead of holding them at her station. When I asked it took a couple minutes of interrogation for her to admit that's what she did. Finally I got a hold of their General Manager Chealsea who at first seemed really apologetic and said she would do whatever it takes to get my glasses back. However when I called back this afternoon all she said was "we are looking" and we can offer you a month worth of cuts to make up for it. I cut my hair twice a month at that. So my 300 dollar sunglasses is worth 40 bucks at the most to you? I don't recommend this place to anyone I know, sorry if I had recommended them to you. I retract it. I whole heartily believe Jamie stole the sunglasses as soon as the GM Chelsea had her back turned and left for the day.
