ProfessionalismDON'T shop here!!! They are crooks. They took my daughters down payment and when the loan didn't go through, they kept her down payment. They said she could back out of the deal, which is what she did after they tried to get her a second loan with 29% interest. They let her out of the deal but wouldn't give her the down payment back. It was a win win for THEM, either get her to take a loan with outrageous interest, (from the loan company they own), or her back out of the deal and they keep her down payment. They made money off the car and they never sold it to her. They are CROOKS and under investigation by the DMV!!!
I wish I could rate less than one star. This business are liars and thieves. They will take your down payment, pretend to give you a warranty, and when the car fails within the 30 days, they will not give your money back. All the "good" ratings on the web are from employees and not real customers. Everyone I have talked to who has had dealings with this business agree that they will sell you a piece of junk and will not work with you after it fails almost immediately after you drive it off the lot. Don't waste your money buying here!!!
DO NOT USE THIS DEALER!!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!! This place took my down payment. Let me drive off the lot with the car thinking I had a loan. Then when I went to make my first months payment, the loan company had no knowledge of me. I called the dealership to find out what was going on. They asked me to come back in to do another loan. Then, ran my credit two more times and left hard inquires on my credit report after I asked them not too. They tried charging me $9898 for a 2006 model car with a blue book value of $4200. I gave them a $2200 down payment on the car. I felt like things were fishy, so I got someone else involved to assist with helping me understand my rights and assist with a cosign. She said that if she was going to do a co sign she wanted to go look elsewhere at a newer car. We went up to the Auto Store of New Bern and advised them this was not going to work. They said I could return the car and back out of the deal. So that is what I did. They refused to return the down payment of $2200 and are now threatening to place a repossession on my credit report. They know I am a single mother getting out of an abusive relationship and took complete advantage of me and my situation. Be careful using these people. They will try to take advantage of you if they find the opportunity.
Used car dealership that "SUCCESSFULLY" satisfies a niche. One man operation with quality family assistance. Owner has been in car sales, at all levels, for many years. Low cost, hand selected, reliable vehicles at a fair and affordable price. Buys mostly new car dealer trade in's, in discount priced volume lots. Knows most of his inventory personally, because he drives most all of them in order to recognize any and all necessary related repair issues. Some repairs he has time to address and others he discloses to all customers so that they know what they are purchasing and can adjust their costs accordingly. Unlike some NC used and new car dealers, he keeps his overhead costs low, knows his product, and isn't concerned about making a large profit on any of his sales. As a small dealer he can sell with a small mark up due to his managed expenses, selective repair costs, and relatively high vehicles sales/month ratio. He doesn't get rich but enjoys what he does, pays his bills, and sleeps well at night. I have been in the auto repair industry for over 45+ years, know quite a lot about new and used vehicle pricing and am thoroughly qualified to be capable of deciding between "the good, the bad and the ugly" in this industry. Rite Price is owned by one of the good guy's and managed in the way that I would, if I were selling used vehicles for a living. A used car purchaser, needs to be realistic, calculate All the associated the costs of ownership/mile/year. From my experience, I have saved 20-30% on my purchases with no typical UCD sales waste of time jargon. Make a call, explain what your looking for, how it needs to perform, and for how long, and let him know what you have to spend. He will do the rest and you can usually pick up the car that day. Used car shopping made simple, with the downside being that he may or may not have a car that fits your needs and budget on the lot at that particular time. But that is... the only downside I have experienced.
I am so pleased with my purchase from here.. I put in an application online and was contacted the next day for additional information.. My salesman went over what I was looking for and sent me pictures on a Toyota Camry.. I drove from Jacksonville to go check it out and i'm so glad I did. It was quick and easy. The staff was great and didn't mind my 4 children playing while we did paper work.. They even filled my tank for me before I left since I came all the way from Jacksonville. I will definitely be a returning customer.
The salesman here can be trusted, are fair and will treat you right. Good cars at a fair price.
