Bennett's Towing & Recovery

Bennett's would have been the company that I hired based on cost (excellent) and the fact that the woman who answered the phone was knowledgeable and articulate. However, I did not utilize this company because they do not except payment over the phone and the mechanic's shop where I was having the vehicle towed did not an account set up with them, which means I would have had to shown up at the tow site. Not convenient. They would have had my business this time, and ANY time with rates like theirs, if they were up to date with their payment capabilities.

Worst respond time ever! Would not recommend them to anyone, leave an elderly man stuck in the middle of a high traffic highway for over 40 minutes. Not very happy with the way they do business.

My van's starter went out at a local gas station. After trying with friends to get it started or moved, we decided to call Bennett's. At first I was going to be upset because my house is less than one mile from where my van was stuck and they wanted $40 to tow it there. Also, when I called, the dispatcher started to say he didn't have any wreckers to send to me. However, after he spoke with another dispatcher and later his boss, he told me that after his boss was finished with the run he was currently on, he could come straight to me. I was satisfied with that, expecting an hour or so of wait time. Maybe 15 minutes later, I was notified he was on his way, and about 15 minutes out from my location. Awesome! Five minutes after we pulled into the parking lot, he arrived. I think both the dispatcher and the driver were very polite and personable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the New Albany area!

My insurance called Bennett Towing to come tow our van to a shop for a blow out with the front right tire. When the guy loaded it up the guy hooked it up wrong and accidentally broke a support beam on the rear right tire. The auto shop caught it thankfully and I called the shop and told them what happened. They sent someone out right away to tow it back to their shop to repair it, took my kids and I to get our other car from my husband and apologized for the mistake. They hunted down the part and fixed it that evening. I got a call later from them and they said that it was fixed and ready to be brought back to us. They towed it back to Scottsburg and delivered it to us at 11pm just so we didn't have to be inconvenienced. This is a great company for accepting that they made a mistake and going above and beyond to correct it!

Great towing company. Good coverage and they stand behind their work. We use them for all our towing needs.

On Friday 2/8/2013 I called and the dispatcher was very RUDE!

I even heard him blow off another call.

It is great that a dispatcher feels the company he works for is Making enough money he can make a call of that importance to blow off someone in need.

I did call on Monday the 11 th of February and reported the dispatcher. They have some "Excellent Dispatchers".

I was assured that the situation would be taken care of. I am hoping they are of their word.

Bennett towing is dangerous! They allow their employees to smoke on the job, around leaking auto fluids. I called the office to report this incident, and the person answering the phone stated "Our employees wouldn't smoke around gasoline, and oil isn't flammable."
