Just the facts, don't waist your time unless you don't like your money or dog in my opinion they talk a good talk but the end product is not worth the money virtually no good came out of this place the only thing i received was a $400 vet bill an untrained dog and false promises Thanks Von Asgard i wish i could give negative stars cause 0 isn't low enough. Below is more detail on my experience and like i stated above this is truly just the facts.
For a solid week i was given the same report, were making great progress it may not seem like much to you but we are making leaps and bounds she is starting to warm up and we are building trust with her once she is not scared we can begin training. by the end of the week i was getting pretty fed up with this report but it seemed pretty reasonable if she won't come to you how do you train her, on the other hand i dropped my dog off to be trained by what i was told to be proffesionals and one would venture to believe if this is true then it wouldn't take a week to begin training they would have solid methods for this kind of behavior.
She is starting to get better we are seeing improvement, i don't think we are going to be able to obtain our objective and we are going to have to charge more for a longer stay 2 weeks just isn't enough and we definitely won't be able to hit all the skills we would like to teach her but she is walking on her leash.
at the end of week 3 of there supposed 2 week course i showed to pick my dog up and to go over there program so that i knew the commands front and back. well i sat inside and watched as the trainer had absolutely no control over my dog and what is worse now she was limping on her back foot, she would not move for the trainer and coward the entire time.
We took our adopted, unruly, great Pyrenees here and the results were shocking. After finding out that the claimed 'perfect dog' had major separation anxiety and was very destructive - we were at a loss as to what to do with her. Knowing that most people would not spend the time or money, we couldn't give up on her. After her 3 week stay here, she came back a completely different dog. Auburn had the patience to work with her and transform her from a dog with many underlying issues (including not knowing her name) to a family member. We highly recommend Von Asgard and can't thank them enough for their patience and support.
We took Micah our 4 month old German Shepherd to "Boot Camp" Von Asgard exceeded our expectations. Linda and the staff did a great job working with us to give Micah accommodations to fit his needs. Special thanks to Auburn she's an amazing trainer and was a perfect match for our dog, you can tell she really loves what she does and cares for the dogs she works with. There is no doubt that they hold up to their end. Question is can we come home and do our part to make sure they keep the training that was instilled. You guys are awesome! Thanks for everything!
I have had such a wonderful experience having my dog trained at Von Asgard K-9 Center that I just have to compliment them on the fantastic training job they have done on, Digger, my 2 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever male. Digger was totally out of control and nasty when introduced to new people. He absolutely ignored me when it came to minding. He would not do anything I asked him to do . . . he was stubborn and non-responsive. I had given up hope till I attended a training seminar put on by Von Asgard K-9 Center. I asked them to help with Digger. I signed him up for Von Asgard's K-9 Spec Ops - Custom Training Program. They train Police K-9s and I figured they could handle Digger. Other trainers that met Digger didn't even want to try! The custom training was 30 days of in-kennel training and socializing. He ended up staying at Von Asgard for an extra week, but it really paid off. I could not believe the difference. Digger now minds, comes when he is called, sits, downs, and stays. And, he does it for me! He is so much better around people. I can't thank Linda and Don at Von Asgard enough for the outstanding job they have done with my problem child!
I have been looking for a great high-activity place to board my two Aussies. Several people at the dog park raved about Von Asgard K-9 Center. So I contacted them and make an appointment to tour their 40 acre facility. What a fantastic place! The staff is really into showing their charges a great time. Three play periods each day is the standard. Not eight or more dogs running together, but one person taking out one dog to show that dog a wild time! They have a large, protected swimming pond that my dogs really made good use of. The enclosed, lighted exercise field they showed me turned out to be my dogs evening fun spot . . . retrieving tennis balls. Von Asgard is all business . . . "dog fun business"! The place is clean, well kept, and I recommend Von Asgard's "K-9 Dude Ranch" pet boarding program for all city dogs.
I didn't know what to expect. It all sounded so good. I decided to enroll my two Jack Russels in Von Asgard's "K-9 Boot Camp" pet obedience training program.
My dogs were at Boot Camp for 14 days. I was hoping for the best, as my two guys are really wild and head strong. Von Asgard did not let me down! When I got them back . . . what a difference! Both dogs are behaving nicely and their obedience is outstanding. I would heartily recommend Von Asgard K-9 Center and their "K-9 Boot Camp" to anyone that wants great results.

If you care about your dogs, AT ALL, do NOT bring them here!!! We brought our dogs here with high expectations and could not have been more disappointed when picking them up. Only upon pick up did we realize that the training method involved 100% exclusion from regular food with their whole dietary requirement being met solely from hot dogs upon performance. When we got home we realized that in addition to being poorly trained (the trainer couldn't even get them to do the commands) both had lost weight and were suffering from the results of their diet. We also discovered our dogs were infested with ticks which soon infested our whole home (ticks were climbing the walls within 10 minutes of the dogs being home!) requiring us to deal with weeks of intensive insect treatment. In a telephone conversation the proprietor agreed to reimburse us for the cost of the tick treatments however upon our submission of the invoices she has failed to do so.
Their guarantee of being able to train the dogs is really meaningless since we would NEVER take our dogs here again and I beg that you don't either!

Simply great people to work with, they really care about what they are doing and the dogs. truely knowledgable, linda really could write a book about what she knows and she is willing to share her wealth of knowledge to you to help your dog get the very best service.
