Two Marines Moving
DC/ MD #: (202) 315-8865
I called at 8:45March 8th to set up a move for the end of the week. A very shortlsimple mover,A bed two chairs and 3 stackes of drawers. I received an emaiol that someone would call me shortly. I explained that I had to reserve the spot with the building, so time was of the essense in getting a date. ISHortly to these exmarine apparently menas 18 to 20 hrs later ( glad thet weren't waiting for me in my emergency department and I gave them that answer. I did get a pretty detailed quote, those it was delivered in a rather condescending way. I then callled back to confirm the date.. It again to ok them 1 day and a half to get back to me and still wanted $100.00 non-refundable deposit to secure the move. I have moved thousands of times in an out of the military and have never been asked for a deposit or told it was non refundaible; maybe if I cancel at the last minute.
These guys are not hororable, asre not prompt and certainly sholdn't not be using the good reputation of the marine corps for marketing. I refused to go to contract with them, so I can't tell you whehter they actually showed up on time.
WHen I had finalized the dates
Two Marines Moving exceeded my expectations. They were prompt, efficient, and professional. They followed our directions as far as the placement of items in the new location well and were very nice about moving an item or two that we changed our minds on, took apart and set up all our furniture, and took very good care of all of our stuff. While moving isn't a pleasant experience, Two Marines Moving almost made it so.
I decided to go with Two Marines and a Truck after my father-in-law recommended them, when I moved in late July 2009. They arrived early, were fast and efficient, professional and courteous, and very reasonably priced--no hidden charges or anything. They didn't break a thing, either! Theses guys were great and I highly recommend them. It was a pleasure to help out fellow vets, too.
My move with Two Marines and a Truck went smooth with no drama or delays. These guys are experienced professionals who know what they are doing. I give them one thumbs up for their packing and loading job, and the second thumbs up for the speedy unloading with all my furniture staying scratch free and not damaged.
After having a good conversation with Nck on the phone a few weeks prior, the guys arrived today to pack up my place. They arrived on time and treated all of my belongings with respect as if it were their own. I was very picky and detailed about how I wanted certain items to be packed and placed in boxes which they all followed accordingly. I'm sure the guys got annoyed with me always lingering around and watching the placement of certain items into the boxes, but they were very professional, never complained once, and were very upbeat the whole time. I have full confidence that when Two Marines and a Truck arrives in a few days for my final move that there will be no problems or setbacks. Thanks guys!
I came across these guys through searching online. I live in a two bedroom apartment in Herndon on the second floor and was moving to a two level townhouse in Alexandria. The guys arrived a few minutes early than the scheduled time and got to work right away. I showed them all the furniture and boxes that I needed moved and what to be left for me to take in my car. All three were very kind and courteous. They were working so hard and so early in the morning I offered to go to the local Starbucks to get them what they wanted which they tpolitely ook my offer on. In the few minutes I was gone they had already cleared out my living room and most of one of my bedrooms. In total it took them four hours to load and unload everything. I was impressed even with driving time and traffic along 95 on the way to my new place. The best part was opening all my kitchen boxes I had marked fragile and not finding one broken plate or glass. I will be recommending Two Marines and a Truck to all of my friends and family.
The guys arrived early that morning as planned without delay. My wife and I instructed them as to what needed to be packed and what furniture was to be moved out of our house. We then left to go to our new house to meet with the cable guy and plumber whom we also had scheduled appointments with that day. To our surprise the guys fully completed all their tasks without supervision and all of our delicate and antique furniture arrived without a scratch.
These guys are very professional. I was moving out of my three bedroom, two story house and had heard about Two Marines and a Truck from a friend of mine that moved a few months ago. I had a lot of boxes and some heavy furniture that needed to be moved. The guys came in and did the job with no hesitation. I was very pleased when they finished almost two hours under the estimated quote time I was originally given on the phone. I have already recommended this company to some of my friends and family and they will be the first I call the next time I move.
Two Marines and a Truck moved my fiance and I from our parent's houses to a two-bedroom apartment on the third floor (with no elevator). They also internally moved a great deal of furniture within my parent's house, such as couches and large chairs. Overall, I was very happy with their services. I changed the start point the night before for the move, and they adapted without problem. They were right on time, and moved quickly. They did not complain about the 3 stops they had to make before the final destination. The movers accidentally knocked into something, with caused a dent in a piece of furniture. They quickly offerred to pay for it to be fixed, and were extremely apologetic. The estimate they gave me was for 4 hours, but they were able to complete it in 3 hours. They also took apart and put together a bed during the move. I was very pleased with their professionalism and efficiency!
Two Marines and a Truck (heretofore TM&T) helped me move a truckload of furniture from a storage unit way out in northern Virginia to my new house in Maryland. TM&T -- specifically Jim and Lewis, the two guys who worked my moving job -- were absolutely great. They showed up early at the storage area, were extremely courteous, got right down to business and were extremely efficient (definitely did not stretch their hours to make more) and careful (nothing got damaged in the move -- remarkable, given the sheer amount of breakables). They were even nice about the fact that the job ended up being much more involved than I had initially thought. On the Maryland end, they were super careful about not only the stuff moving in, but also making sure they did not scuff anything in my new place (which was nice for me, a new homeowner...). Also, there was this complicated bedframe to set up -- and Jim basically just got started on assembling it, which I definitely did not expect. Bonus! Above I note the price as "good" instead of "excellent" (whereas I rated everything else as "excellent") -- I want to specify that they were worth every penny. Moving's not cheap, so hard for me to call anyone's price "excellent" -- but given the normal market cost, TM&T's price is definitely fair (like I said, worth every penny) -- I was singularly impressed with these guys and would definitely hire them again for any job, large or small.
I had an excellent experience with Two Marines & A Truck last weekend. They were on time, very helpful and well prepared. The two movers even stayed for a bit longer than I scheduled/paid for to ensure we were all set up. The office was also great about communicating all the details -- calling the day prior to my move to confirm my time as well as the morning of, so that I was confident they would show up. I highly recommend this company for your move.
