I should have read the reviews earlier. Worst experience ever. I called early morning to verify my appointment after they missed my window I called and they said my appointment was cancelled and the will fit me in later. After they missed the second window I called again and they said they didn't notice my appointment and will come in an hour and a half. The inspector finally gets here and says it wasn't the kind of inspection he expected and he can come back tomorrow.
I had Terminix come out Friday, Sept 26th. to our apartment for a bed bug extermination, and the service and been outright terrible.It started on Friday, the day of our appointment. It was scheduled between 1 pm and 3 pm. The exterminator didn't arrive until 4:15 pm, a full hour and 15 minutes AFTER the two-hour time slot we were told. I also did not know they were late until I called Terminix support at about 3:30 pm that day. I also had not known our apartment had actually been treated until I mentioned it to our apartment staff at 5:30 pm! Nobody called to tell me they were late, and nobody called to say it was done. This was immensely inconvenient, too, because we were not allowed back into the apartment for another 3 hours after I got home from work just because our exterminator ran so horribly late. Dealing with customer service hasn't been much better.
Karla Sargent is the person I've been talking to and she's very untimely getting back to me about anything. She said she'd talk to her boss Monday (Sept 29th) about our experience and we haven't heard anything back other than offering free bed bug covers for our mattress, which does not help since I plan on buying a new mattress anyway. It's had also been a solid week since our extermination and we have not received any reports on our termination like where they found bed bugs, what needs thrown away, or anything else. I called Karla today and left yet another voice mail (my 5th one) to try to get the report.
This experience has been awful and I just can't wait for the service to be completed. I just want a resolution to all these problems. Nobody gives you callbacks, nobody lets you talk to their manager...this is by far the worst "service" I've ever paid for regarding anything.
About 2 weeks after I moved, I got the "Move Out" statement from our apartment. They were charging me an extermination fee because they found MORE bedbugs after we moved! I had to go after Terminix and make them pay the the extermination fee (which they did). Do not make the same mistake I did and look somewhere else for proper extermination.
The one thing I did to get Terminix to do anything about my problem was report them to the Better Business Bureau. I asked for an apology from Karla but being so unrespondent and for my money back. I got a call two days later from a Terminix district manager that ended up giving me 50% my "services", which brought the price down to $225 from $450. I even got an email from Karla apologizing to me (not even a phone call despite the 5 messages I left). So my advice to anyone having issues with Terminix is to go straight to BBB's website and file a report.
These people are below the rating scale. I have been trying to deal with an ant problem with these people since March, 2015 and my problem has no escalated into a full infestation. They were polite at first, but now they won't even come to my home when scheduled. Save money. Use a different service. Terminex does NOT stand behind their contracts.
DO NOT USE TERMINIX FOR BED BUGS! We lost our home.
*They did not fully investigate the whole house before exterminating.
*They would not spray the entire house each time they came.
*There was times when he came out and refused to spray because we had a few things left in the house and garage? He said he could not spray them?
*He said the house was safe to move back into and when I showed him the bites on my sons leg. He made a excuse that I could have brought new bed bugs in from somewhere else.
* We spent all of our savings $1800. and still lost our home because it was unsafe to live there. The Man refused to believe me and to spray properly. Please do not use Terminix for bed bugs they do not know what they are doing! Neil & Tonya M.
Terminix was supposed to be here between 8-10. I started calling at 10:30, was placed on hold for over 12 minutes 3 times, and disconnected once trying to resolve this matter. Finally, I was told that the local branch was overbooked and that they could not show up until next week. I do not know when they were going to call and tell me this. Half a day off work wasted and no pest control. This policy has been terminated. Terminix not worth the 1 star I have to rate.
They only show up when it's an appointment they can charge you for. If you want a follow-up appointment don't waste your time. You can never talk to anyone local, all calls are forwarded to a call center. I had ants in my kids bed, tried to make a follow up appointment. Went to the store and spent $10 on ant killer and did it myself. Best advice, find someone local without an affiliation to a major brand.
I have called three time and made an appointment each time 1-3 all three times nobody showed up no call no nothing. We have a new home we have worked hard on and we wanted to keep it safe from termites so we wanted the best. But the best don't even come to the appointments. DO NOT use terminix your home may get ate down before they ever show up to do their job.
The absolute worst customer service anywhere! They make appointments and either arrive late or don'[t show up. If you try to call them, it's an hour ordeal to get through customer service and you still get no where. They give you a warranty but if you actually need them to do work under that warranty, they then tell you, the work is not covered. A complete rip off.
Will not do business with again. Evasive fast talking customer service people talk from both sides of their mouth telling you one thing and things you don't need to hear. Billing statements border on deceptive. Not worth the aggravation they cause you. I will pay more to use someone else.
