These guys at Studio City Tattoo are the most talented piercers and tattoo artists as well as the most polite people I've ever met in my life!
I go in there, so nervous I'm sweating, before all my tattoos. Somehow they find a way to make me laugh and completely calm down!
(Did I mention the entire shop is a pirate ship inside?
With an aquarium, painted sky sealing, and pirate attire all over, it's really amazing.)
All the guys in there are amazing artists!
I've had three tattoos and four piercings done there, and each without one problem!
I go to Steve White for my piercings and Mike Erwin for all my tattoos. I mean, everyone in there is great, but those two are the guys that have been the most friendly to me, from day 1!
I would recommend these guys among anyone else.
Great work, friendly staff, clean environment, and not to mention, A GREAT PRICE.

1st - SCT was the 4th place I checked on-line and by far the most intriguing web site - it really caught my attention. 2nd - all the reviews for the other places sucked. Very very negative reviews. 3rd - Ryan was so polite, professional, and helpful that I immediately knew this was the place. 4th - Slim was a sweetheart. I felt very comfortable and he was sooo on my cloud for my design. He is witty, intelligent, charming, and professional. He laughed at my jokes, which is huge to me. Finally, I love my tattoo, I wil be coming back later in the year to have a 1/2 back piece that I showed him and I can't wait.
If you even think of going anywhere else -you'll be deservedly walking the plank : )
Thanks Slim! Can't wait to see you again!

This is my first tatoo. I love it! I did a water color first and then Willy, who also is a watercolorist, made a stencil. Willy did an amazing job - beautiful mixing of colors. I highly endorse his work and am seriously thinking of a 2nd tattoo.
and BTW, the studio itself is very clean, w/ comfortable chairs, and an interesting, cool vibe.

I went into S.C.T. yesterday, and everyone was very nice and I loved the theme of the whole place. Willy did my tattoo and he helped me figure out exactly how I wanted it and he was patient with me because of course I couldn't decide. He was gentle while doing the tattoo and he answered all of my questions. My tattoo is amazing, I love it. It is everything I could have hoped it would be. This tattoo is my second, but my first big one and I will definantly go back for more! Thank you so much Willy
cannot recommend this place highly enough! friendly staff, family atmosphere. clean as a hospital.
the owner clay is an amazingly warm and welcoming man, who really makes you feel at home.
the decor is astounding really hearkens back to the days of ole', when pirates roamed the high seas.
stop by to make an appointment or call ahead of time cuz this place is in demand and spots fill up fast!

All the tattoos I have Illya has done. I never cared for flash... so all the work he has done has been a collaboration of my ideas and his artistry... custom fitted to accentuate the lines of my small body size. I have a neck piece that is a combination of French deco art and tribal... I have had people of all ages... including those who are not even necessarily pro-tattoo, compliment the designs that Illya has lent his skill and artistry to.
I am probably one of his older clients... my first work done nearly twenty years ago. I'm pushing 60... but the ink is still solid and dark, the lines clean and clear, despite my passion for exposing my skin to the Arizona sun.
I cannot speak highly enough about Illya... and his peers that he works side by side with. Go with confidence to Studio City Tattoo... and have your body decorated with work that will carry you through the many seasons of your life!!!

I am a late bloomer to the tattoo world, but I'm glad I did. It is good to research what you want your tattoo to be; don't jump into anything - it will be with you forever. I got what I wanted and loved it. Slim was the artist who walked me through the stages from beginning to end. I got an extensive tattoo from the top of my shoulder to below my elbow. He was detailed about every aspect over the 8 weeks that was needed for outline, healing time, and finishing touches (finishing touches were on the house). I was comfortable throughout the process and enjoyed the bantering between the artists and the customers; it was a great show! One word of advice I would like to give... Show the artists your idea of what you want and talk about how you may want it to look but let him do his work. Don't micro-manage his talents. I discovered the more I stayed out of it and trusted the process the more my tattoo came to be more than I expected. I love the tattoo I relieved and will definitely be returning for another.
Thanks Slim and for all the other artists who made my first experience with tattooing great!
