Overall

Competent, caring, compassionate-They love animals & animals love them!

I would never consider taking my pets anywhere else. We have taken our cats to Dr. Jones and Dr. Otte for years. They have gone to great lengths to save more than one of our cats. I have seen so many abandoned, injured or neglected animals welcomed and nursed back to health by their amazing staff. And we are fortunate to have adopted one of their rescue puppies, Sam. While his survival story is incredible, it's not uncommon here. You know you have found a great vet when your animals actually like going there!

In 2013, Dr. Hunt joined our staff here at State Line Animal Hospital, where she continues to combine her interest in holistic medicine with her love for animals. Her typical patients are dogs and cats, but she does treat the occasional horse, rabbit and chicken. She treats a variety of conditions including back pain, neck pain, lameness, pinched nerve, herniated disc, soft tissue injury, hip dysplasia, spinal cord injury, collapsed trachea, urinary incontinence, digestive disturbances, seizures and many more.

Veterinary Surgery
Dr. Starr works on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 8am to 5pm. He also works on some Saturdays from 8am – 12pm. Bringing 23 years of veterinary experience, he can perform any necessary routine surgeries, vaccines, sick exams, and is open to new clients. When not at the clinic, Dr. Hunt can be found on her acreage in the country where she does some small scale dog boarding and fostering. She is also an exam proctor for IVCA. In her free time, she enjoys playing competitive tennis, dinner parties with friends and family, and working on her homestead alongside her family of farm dogs, barn cats, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl.
Grooming
Our staff of experienced groomers offer both bathing and grooming services for your pets. Specific requests can be made to give your pet the perfect look you desire! Our groomers do everything from trimming, shaving and touch-ups, to full-on styling! You are even welcome to submit a picture of your desired look and talk one-on-one with the groomer about what kind of cut you want.
