Sears and A & E Factory Repairs are THE WORST. Do not buy anything from Sears that involves appliance repair. I wish there was a negative 10 star rating for both Sears appliance call center and A & E Factory Repairs, as that would be appropriate. My washer is 4 months old and has never worked right. Four days after it was delivered, I had the repair guy out. He was CLUELESS. 50 minutes after he arrived, he is still reading through the repair manual on his phone and calling his base company. Totally incompetent, and a total waste of time. He couldn't even figure out how to find the water temperature guide for hot and warm settings. As soon as I left the room to look up this basic information myself, he walks out the door. Never finished the job, never fixed the problem, never had me sign a receipt, and had the gall to report to his superior that my washer was in good working condition. A total jerk. I immediately called A&E and was given the complete run-around. They took no responsibility. Called three other numbers I was given for escalating service calls (again, a big joke). I returned a few days later to the Sears store where I bought the washer and complained to the manager. Again, no help other than to make a new service appointment. So furious about the ordeal, I called to make a new appointment a few weeks later after my disgust with how things were handled calmed down. Waited two weeks for the appointment -window time is always 8-5, can't even narrow it down to morning or afternoon - a total disregard for the customer. Guy comes and needs to order parts. Granted, this machine was bought in July. Three months later it needs parts. Also found out that this machine was built in 2017, not 2019, the year I purchased it. A few days later, parts arrive. A few days after that I get an automated call that the service tech will be out the next day - sometime between 8-5. Do they not think people work and can't just take off a whole day, with 12 hours notice? No follow up number to call back, of course.

Waited at home the entire day. NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. I was livid. Made calls to every fricken service number I could find and was transferred to at least 5 different departments to get some answers. I was told that I should respect the tech's schedule and understand that he can't work past his 5 o'clock schedule!!! REVOLTING AND DISGUSTING SERVICE. Furthermore, I was told I can't get a refund on the machine until a tech signs off on the problem, AND because I had the machine for more than 30 days, a refund is impossible, no matter what the issue. Remember, the first tech, who came 4 days after the machine was delivered, lied and reported my machine was fine. Sears can see the report and date from the first tech, but will not issue a refund on the defective machine, even though I followed the rules by calling a tech within the 30 days.

After reading the other one-star ratings, I think it's time to call our state's attorney general and file a class-action lawsuit. Until then, I will spread the word on the worst, unjust, fraudulent and biggest rip-off appliance sales and repair company - Sears. I repeat my earlier statement - don't buy any appliances from them lest you want to hit your head against the wall in disgust when your appliance needs fixed.

The technician was great Rueben. Your customer service dept is terrible. I never received a call from them to tell me my tech was running late. Then they cancelled my appt without notifying me. Every time they made a change I found out because I called not because they called me.
