I had to wait 8 days for an appointment for a broken Sears refrigerator. I took off work because we need a refrigerator so we are not just eating out. I waited all day. I got a phone call from a technician saying I was next up. When they did not show I called them back asking where they were. No answer or return phone call. We called the Sears number and they said the person came. But no one came to our house. No phone call when they were here. No text, no email, (except the standard one hours beforehand). No the person is here. No door knock, I was on the coach. Nothing all day. Despite repeated calls to Sears who kept telling me they would fix the problem it never came. Finally they said just schedule another appointment. Like our time is just endless. We will never buy from Sears again. Despite having a warranty we went with a local company and just got it fixed.
Service repair man finally arrived on November 15th. Kenmore refrigerator was stopping and starting. This problem also happened in 2015. It was making very loud noises and would stop working completely. I have lost food once already. Repair man told me to unplug it and let it defrost for four days , yes I said four days. Laughable it's it? That was his fix for the problem. He looked at it and pushed a few buttons and on the way he went to the next unsuspecting customer. Frig continues to have the same problems to this day. Called the repair service last night. Next scheduled appointment will be November 29th. This is an emergency appointment. I would hate to see an extreme emergency appointment. I wonder would it be in December?
I have been a customer for many years. Kenmore appliances in the past were very reliable appliances. My home is filled with them. I don't think I will buy any more Kenmore appliances from Sears. I have lost trust in the company. The repair service with a protection plan is not worth the cost at this point.
