Sears Appliance Repair - Dishwasher Repair & Service

Don't bother wasting your time with this company. I called to scheduled service to repair a loud dishwasher. They did repair that but caused a leak in the machine. The leak took multiple calls to repair. their repair man ignored my calls after he left when the machine continued leaking forcing me to schedule multiple service appointments.
It took a total of 5 trips to finally fix the machine. Due to their 4 hour time slots I was forced to take a total of 2 1/2 days of personal leave time to accommodate their incompetence. After many emails and calls to Sears costumer service I was told they would do nothing to make up for my work time missed.
DO NOT USE this company ever!!!! If I could have given them 0 stars I would have. Service like this is why sears in on the fast track to bankruptcy.
I would not recommend this appliance repair to anyone. We have now had 4 service calls scheduled and they have yet to show up during any of the 9 hour windows of time. So infuriating! We prepaid for services and have taken days off of work to accommodate their service calls. When we called to express concern we received nothing but runaround. Whatever you do...go elsewhere!!! Less than 1 star would be appropriate.
The worst! I always thought Sears was a trusted name but now I know that is not true. Sears replaced compressor in LG refrigerator after what took weeks between initial appointment, order of parts, and follow up appointment. Technician left but obviously never checked if fridge was cooling. It did not work at all. Waited another week for follow up appointment which was cancelled due to scheduling error on their part. Now waiting another week for the next available appointment. We have not had a refrigerator for a month. Customer service and technicians are unhelpful and rude.
Do not purchase appliances from Sears! They don't honor their warranties!! My vacuum quit working after 6 months, it was the Kenmore Elite Canister a $400 vacuum, still under the initial 1 year warranty. I spent 1 month trying to get Sears in Albany GA to send it off for repair. After many attempts was told they couldn't because they didn't have repair tags to send it off. I finally spoke with a manager and got every bit of my money back! I will never purchase anything from Sears again period!! I will never step inside another Sears. I spent 4 hours on the telephone and by going in the store trying to get this resolved. So thankful I got my money back!! I wouldn't even give a star if it were an option!! The even worst part of this experience is that when I spoke with the customer service for Sears based out west, the lady said that this continues to be a problem with the Albany GA repair center. She even told me I would have to get there and call them back and let her supervisor speak with the Albany Ga manager in order to get my vacuum repaired. I was like this is ridiculous and just went further and got the money back. One would think a national company such as Sears could make their employees do their job!!
WORST SERVICE EVER!! I purchased the preventive maintenance package with my fridge. The tech came out and said that a part was going bad on my fridge that he'd order it and install it. Made an appointment--great...Appointment day and time came and went,, no tech?? Called customer service they said they had no clue which tech came to my house and had no notes on my account!! OMG, asked for someone to call me who could help me get this part and find out why the tech didnt follow through.. NO call back.. spoke with a manger at customer service she explained that it was a REQUEST for someone to call me not required!! REALLY--said Id have to reschedule a whole new pm appointment to see what part needed fixed,, but if its not broken yet they wont fix it!! OMG,, I couldn't believe it--oh yeah and she said that they dont give out the names of the techs, they would send an email to the tech manager and that he might or might not get back with you,, he doesnt have too!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.. I WILL NEVER buy another appliance from sears!!!
We bought a warranty when we purchased our vacuum. Our vacuum wasn't working properly and smelling so we were told to take it to the local UPS store and then it would be shipped back to me. Needless to say, my vacuum was gone A MONTH and then they decided that I had to pick it up at a local sears store they would not be shipping it back to me. When I got it back it worked the same if not worse than when I sent it in. I called to speak with a manager, waited on the phone for 20 minutes and then was told they would call me back. Surprise, surprise they never called me. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! I will never purchase another thing from Sears. I wish I could give them 0 stars.
Do not ask for Sears Service. they gave me a time window of 4 hours. the service guy call me at the 4th hour and said he was lost, said his gps wasn't working; he called me 4 more times, finally showed up 2.5 hours later. Took him 3 minutes to say it would cost $300 to repair, charged me $70, then went away. the following week a refrigerator part arrived at my house. I did NOT order a part. it was not even for the type of refrigerator that I own. it was stainless steel & I have a white refrigerator. I tried to get Sears to pick it up to send back to their parts distributor-No Luck. it is still sitting on my porch and my refrigerator is still on the fritz!
If I could give no stars, I would. Our freezer is on the fritz so it's a fairly critical situation. We sat around for 4 hours waiting for a repairman, only to be told (when I called at the end of the 4 hour window) that the repairman was sick and no one would be here today. I told the customer service agent that I had no interest in rescheduling with such an unreliable company. 10 minutes later the phone rang with a robo call, asking me to reschedule. Clearly they don't get it. Ugh, will never call again!
DON'T EVER BUY A REFRIGIRATOR FROM SEARS WITH AN ALARM. Mine goes off at all times of day and night. My husband and I have not had a full nights sleep in over 2 weeks because of the alarm. I have already had them out twice and it is still not fixed. The technician was here today to replace the mother board. 30 minutes after he left the alarm started going off again. When I called Sears to tell them I wanted him back today because he had not fixed the problem they told me I would have to schedule another appointment. I have had to miss 2 days work and will now have to miss another day's work and that is only if they manage to get it fixed then. CAN YOU AFFORD THAT! Getting a technician to come usually takes about 2 weeks. If they have to order a part, guess what, you have to schedule another appointment after the part comes in. Over the years I have bought 3 refrigirators. 3 washer & dryers, 2 freezers and 2 stoves from Sears. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS AGAIN AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE ON REPEATING MY PROBLEMS, YOU WON'T EITHER.
We have been waiting 19 Days to get our Washer Serviced with no comunication from Seras Service. When I asked to talk to manager the person told me that won't get you anywhere. I knwo alot of people and I will let everyone know what is up with this. I have asked for someone to call me back about this and they still have not!
DO NOT BUY SEARS!
Called Sears about getting a leaky washer fixed. They said the earliest they could get somebody out was a week from the day I called. Everybody else I called, including the manufacturer said they could have somebody out by the next day. The minimum service charge and labor costs were about the same as Sears too. In my opinion I see no reason to use Sears if everybody else provides faster service for the same or less money.
My 8 month old refridgerator stopped working on 12/28/07, called Sears, they could not come out til 1/3/08, but Sears called on 1/2/08 to cancel my appoitment. Called the 800 # again, they then wanted me to reschedule for 1/8/07
this is almost 2 weeks without a refridgerator. I live in Denton Md. I was told they only do service work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this week no one came out (Tuesday was a Holiday and they Cancelled the service on Thursday, unk why). I have 2 small children, expressed the need for the repair, the spoiled food and not to mention I was on the phone for almost 2 hrs, hung up on twice. I would not recommend anyone to buy from Sears as they can not support any customer service on warranty for repairs.
We've had annual service calls on 6 appliances now and every time we have called, we've had service arranged promptly. A smaller window for the service would be nice.
Both service calls for the dryers were facilitated by decreased performance. This last 'service' ended with a recommendation to improve the vent line and a fairly lame explanation that wet clothes were falling against a sensor (yeah, now after a year of use that is mysteriously happening and when the only item in the dryer is a still wet mattress pad why did the sensor tell the dryer to stop?). We'll change out the vent line and see what happens. If it doesn't work... we'll just call them back out as that's what warranties are for.
I would give it a zero star rating if it existed. Had an 8am - 12pm window for the repairman to show up. No show, no call. Called the service center twice in which they contacted the repairman to contact me, but both time did not get any calls. I ended up cancelling. Took a day off from work for the repairs - so pretty much wasted a vacation day.
Sears appliance has the worst service, impossible to speak to anyone, must book your service through a computer. Paid for repairs 3 times and all 3 times had to have them come back and appointments are booked a week or more out with a 4-5 hour window. 3 of 4 times the technician arrived 1-2 hours after we waited for 4-5 hours. In my case it is a refridgerator so each time they didn't fix it, all the food had to be thrown away. Very costly and very expensive and I will never use them again or buy anything from Sears.
On Monday July 18th I called to see if someone could come out and repair our ice-maker here at work and the lady over the phone mentioned that the next available time would be Wednesday July 18th and that someone would call us before the scheduled date and give us a courtesy call. I gave her our front desk number as our contact number. No courtesy call was received on or before Wednesday the 18th and on the 18th no service call occured. Having no ice to serve to our clients in the hot month of July in nevada is one thing, but we're all business trying to operate, had I known that the service call would not happen, I would have rushed to Vons which is just down the street and grabbed a couple bags of ice to serve to my clients. Sears has really inconvinienced us, and then to make matters worse when I called the Sears Service Department today July 19th to inquire as to why no one contacted us or came for the service call I was place on hold for more than 20 minutes and all the lady on the phone could say is "Sorry Ma'am the next availble time I can send some one out is next week". No apologies, no sorry for inconviniencing you, no trying to make it work for a potential client. She mentioned that someone tried to call and couldn't contact us, which is impossible because our business operates 5 days a week 8-5pm and there's always a receptionist to answer all calls try it right now 702-946-6700, I guarntee someone will pick up the phone...i've very disappointed, at the service
Don't get me wrong, I have purchased many applicances from "Sears" but if you are looking for repair services from Sears, your wasting your time. I recently did an online request for service which I thought was too good to be true, so easy and fast. Then the day of my service was here, for my washer which I purchased from Sears in 2006.
My scheduled repair services was between 1 - 5 pm. As I waited, 2 o'clock came and passed, I had'nt received any status from the service personnel as to when they would be arriving, so I called to get a staus, the C.S. personnel stated they did show me as scheduled and not to phone again until after 5 pm the scheduled service time, 5:15 pm came so I called again, only to have C.S. personnel inform me that the driver wrote in their notes that they "left me a message on my phone (1) hr before I called".
Not only did the personnel not call all day with any status or info, but they lied about contacting me at all, no call log on my phone and no message, basically wasting my time.
