This is by far, the worst customer service I have received in years. Buyer Beware! Do not sign a contract with this company. In the very fine print you will see that they have a five year monitoring agreement with automatic five year renewals. When I explained that we were doing construction so the system was already pulled out (and that they could quote on putting in a new system), they would not work with me. They were rude to me on the phone and sent me to collections for the balance of this bogus monitoring contract. As a small business owner I can't fathom treating customers this way. Needless to say, I would not have them quote on new business and I certainly would not sign a monitoring contract with them. I never, ever post a bad review but I think others should be aware of what they are signing.
BEWARE OF THE CONTRACT!!! What the sales rep fails to tell you is that the contract is actually a FIVE YEAR CONTRACT! NOT A ONE YEAR CONTRACT AS PRESENTED! This company will sue you to and take you to court no matter what your reason (lay off, health) for breaking the contact! Deceitful, obnoxious, and heartless! Never sign a contract with Protect Alarms!
Beware of their monitoring contract. It is a five year automatic renewal term contract which they fail to mention when you sign at the time of purchase. If the equipment fails and cannot be repaired or if you want to switch to another monitoring firm they will hold you to the unexpired term of the contract. They will have a lawyer send you a letter threatening legal action. Read your contract and if you have an automatic renewal clause send a letter cancelling the automatic renewal. That puts you and not Protect Alarm in control. Because they want me to pay them for monitoring of a system they could not repair or replace I would never recommend this company .
