This gym has the most amenities by far of any gym in Tallahassee. However, the upkeep of the facility leaves something to be desired. The entire reason I spend 49 dollars a month at this gym is for the indoor basketball facility. I could pay 10-15 dollars a month at any gym in Tallahassee and lift weights, it was the basketball courts that separated Premier from all of the other gyms. However, after being a member for over 6 months now, one thing is clear. The management does not care AT ALL about maintaining the courts. Multiple people who use the basketball facility weekly have tried to speak with management about the condition of the equipment (mostly the RIMS and BASKETBALLS) and it has fallen on deaf ears. At least 5 of the 6 rims in the gym are bent or worn so much that they hang. The basketballs are old and have not been replaced. I moved back to Tallahassee in June and I came from a gym where I payed a very similar price point. The difference in that gym and Premier is that the staff understood that wear and tear happens when the courts are being used 7 days a week and would routinely replace the rims and balls every couple of months. I understand that replacing equipment cost money, however, I would like to know that the 50 dollars a month I spend on this gym are being used on the amenities I use as well, and that my money is not going strictly toward redoing the zumba classroom or replacing seats on the weight machines. Each time I have brought this up to management, I have been shrugged off, or given a "we'll look into it" answer just to appease me and get me out the door. Many of the members who use the courts have expressed their issues to the staff about the courts. We just want to see the facilities we use daily getting the same amount of maintenance and repairs as everything else in the building. I'm sure no one will even acknowledge this review at the gym, and thats fine. But if you are looking for a gym that has a well maintained basketball court, this place isn't worth the monthly price of 50 bucks.
