Freelance book designer with many years experiences, from cover and interior design to completion to the printer
I?m a freelance book designer who loves what I do. I began my journey in the design field after graduating from The Art Institute of California, San Diego, with honors, in Graphic Design. I started my career working at ad agencies and inhouse for several companies.
Finding my way to book design was quite an adventure which lead me to Tehabi Books where I found myself being mentored by Tom Lewis, my design hero and just a great man and friend. Since then I have worked inhouse at Bowtie Press and Storey Publishing.
I always hoped to start my own freelance business so when the opportunity arrived, I took it.
My experience includes cover and interior design and layout. I have worked extensively with authors, illustrators and photographers. I have been on press-checks in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. I understand the printing process very well and can communicate well with printers.
My clients include: Storey Publishing, Consumer Reports, Arizona Highways, Cider Mill Press, Sterling Publishing, to name a few.
