Horrible business managers, rude, racist and filthy. Especially Shannon, Lance and their Father. Family own business and the all are bad for business!!! Do not rent from them

2014: I live in Breckenwood Apartments 2014. DONT MOVE HERE if u like respect from the managers & good maintenance. Not maintained very well as my experiences n the past. The place had roaches when I moved in & I still c them. Called the Health Department & they stated they've been out here before. Lance Rushing-Owner has a terrible Rude attitude. He stated that "small roaches were normal" & "He wasnt fixing nothing else" from my walk- through list. The bathtub squeaks & I don't cook or put most things in my cabinets for roaches. The air unit is 12 years old, parking lot lines r faded, broken bath & drain issues. DONT MOVE HERE. The internet reviewers Call them SlumLords. It seems if you don't like, they ask you to move & that fixes nothing just a revolving door. There is more but u don't have all year!

Everything that i wanted to say has already been said in the other review marked 2012..here it is. 2014..and penn properties are still horrible....Ive also called and Shannon that is the owner told me that if i didnt like it..then I should move...everything from the A/C...to the ceiling. .to the floors is bad...I will call the health department in the mourning.

Penn Properties are slum lords! I was a resident at Springville Landing since 2011, and management has changed hands on and off. Penn Properties took over my complex in May 2012, and ever since they did, things went from bad to worse!



They don't fixed ANYTHING, I mean there are so many code violations around every turn! My toilets constantly stop up and overflow, my A/C always freezes up and leaks freon, the appliances are so outdated and barely work, the apartments are infested with roaches, and even one neighbor moved in and had a bad infestation of bed bugs! The crime here is unreal! They used to have security with the old company, but these slum-o's won't hire any. There are druggies everywhere, not to mention an overwhelming amount of Mexicans, which I'm sure aren't even legal, like the ones who work for them. They want your rent on time, but they don't fix anything, and if you complain about it, they go from nice to vicious. They are very vindictive and nasty. They act all nice to your face when you are giving them their money and signing the lease, but once you sign on that dotted line, they got you, and try getting out of it!



The manager in the office, Chris, seems like he wants to help, but I never get results. He says his hands are tied. I've called their corporate office, and the lady there is very snippy and rude. I've tried to speak with the owner himself, the older guy with white hair, and he just plainly says to get out if I didn't like it! Really!?!? My husband keeps telling me to turn them in to the health department, but I am afraid of being evicted if I do, and really can't afford more than what I am paying now. I think Maintenance tries to do their best, but they keep rigging stuff up instead of actually fixing or replacing anything. I've been told by the maintenance guy directly that the owners don't keep them stocked properly to even be able to fix anything right. It's pretty bad when even your own staff realize how bad the company is.



So, I guess you get what you pay for. If you want better, GO ELSEWHERE! DO NOT RENT FROM PENN PROPERTIES unless you are satisfied with bugs, dilapidated apartments, and safety hazards!
