Long story short: I scheduled a roundtrip pick up/return for New Year's Eve and, while we were dropped off, no cab never came back to get us so we were stranded 40 miles from our house! Even when I called the company asking where our scheduled cab was after waiting 30 minutes he said they were busy because it was NYE, which is why I booked it advance! I would NEVER recommend this cab company to anyone. Save the hassle in going local when it comes to your transportation!
This year for New Year's Eve we decided to go see a comedian in Brea, knowing that finding transportation on NYE would be treacherous, I decided to book a cab a couple days in advance for our round trip transportation. I decided to go local and use My OC Taxi rather than using Yellow Cab or some other generic. I booked the taxi online for 6 people for pick up at 6:45pm and a return at 9:45pm. After I booked, I got a call from My OC Taxi confirming the address, which I thought was good customer service. On the afternoon of NYE I got a call from My OC Taxi AGAIN confirming the address and the pick up/return time. I, again, confirmed this, and reminded the guy that we had 6 in our party, which was a surprise to him, he said, no problem, he would get us a van. Later than evening, about 2 hours before pick up I got ANOTHER confirmation call, this time from the driver. These check-in calls were a bit much, but I chalked it up to over-the-top customer service.
Our taxi arrived to pick us up right on time and and got us to the Improv in great time. We got out of our show early, at 9pm, so I called the original cabdriver but he wasn't in the area so we waited for our scheduled cab to pick us up at 9:45pm; I also called and requested that our cab be sent earlier, if possible, and was told he would be there by 9:45pm, if not early. Fast forward to 10:15pm we still had no cab. I called the company and after another 15 minutes of a busy signal/no answer, I finally got ahold of the owner of the company. When I told him that it was now 45 minutes past our original pick up time he apologized that it was NYE, which is WHY I booked in ADVANCE in the first place! We ended up being stranded 40miles from home on New Year's Eve, one of the hardest nights of the year to get a cab. Booking in advance and speaking with the company on several occasions did nothing to alleviate this situation.
I would NEVER recommend using this cab company for any of your transportation needs. I will be telling everyone I know how unreliable this company is.
