Midland Mortgage Company
I have had bad experiences with this company. In October, my coupons arrived in the mail with a lower payment. I went online and discovered that they owed me over 1500.00 dollars. It didn't come. It didn't come. I call, the check was returned to them as undelivered they say. This happened 4 times. I called over and over. I got no help. They would not FedEx it. My last phone call, I am told to send them 10.00 and they will FedEx it. I do. I get no contact. I send an email to the vice president, a woman calls and tries to tell me the check was cashed. It is now February. Impossible! She says she will call the next day. Today she says they underestimated so they used some to pay taxes. My money, I did not give them permission to use it, I expect all of it. She will call tomorrow. It never ends! I don't believe a word they say!!!
After reading the Business Details section of this site, all I can say is midland (purposely not capitalized because I do not respect these folks) does not live up to any of it's mission statement. If they have any standards at all they fail miserably in meeting them.

This company must have the worst customer service ever! Our loan was recently bought by Midland Mortgage and after 12 years of on time payments, my very first late pay was last month. Of course it was a result of an item lost in the mail probably related to two tornadoes. But whatever-it was late. I'm on the phone daily-and I get attitude daily! Really I'm trying to pay and these people treat me like scum. I have decided that as soon as I can I am going to re-fi and dump them.
Their website is awful and you can't even easily find scheduled payments, pending transactions, or your payment status. The phone service is worse than awful. I would rate them as less than one star if I could.

This mortgage company is the worst. The customer service is RUDE, incompetent and they give you nothing but a run around when you need their help. I needed an important matter resolved and it took 5 phone calls, I got 5 different answers from 5 different reps and they will never let you speak to the same person when you call. One rep just straight out lied, three of the other reps just gave me the wrong information...just ridiculous! I was treated the same way for another important matter that needed to be resolved. How a company can stay in business when it is so incompetent is beyond me!

If you make a mistake logging into your online account you get locked out! When you call ANY of their numbers, unless you follow ALL the options you can NEVER get to speak with a human being. I stumbled across a human and this is what I was told to do, for ALL of you who NEED to speak with someone;
Call 800-654-4566, enter your Loan Number, then the last four of your SS#, then choose Option 1, and then Option 4. I was told that this SHOULD bring you to a human. You should also be aware that no matter what the options are if you enter data on the phone, its NOT recorded in your account. They told me I lived in an area just declared a disaster area. I live in Massachusetts and since I have been in MA, it has NEVER been declared a disaster area. I selected the option that said if its NOT TRUE press "" * "" but calling back, it was NOT recorded. You should also know if you DO get a human (they have obviously made a mistake by answering the phone) they are COMPLETELY incompetent. Don't argue, be polite or they will simply cut you off and you will NEVER get any help. I have been transferred to Midland Mortgage for some reason?? I paid down my debt ahead of time, so I don't know why I was penalized in this Hell Hole of a company by GMAC Mortgage. My recommendation to you is; get away from Midland as soon as possible, and by ANY means possible. Make SURE you have online access to your accounts and also that you WILL be served by a human in your next Mortgage company. Have them SHOW you the web page and where this information is and exactly HOW to access a human in your next company. Is there a way to penalize Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for destroying our economy? How about Obama for taxing EVERYONE for using electricity or gasoline? More especially for taxing our unborn children, and their children by running deficits SO large that we are heading for a Socialist Country, where NO ONE is able to own ANYTHING except for the government? Good Luck with Midland, you have my deepest simpathy.

This is the worse company I have had to deal with. For about a year now they have not been able to provide the customer service one would expect, instead their personel would lie, make you go thru unecessary processes and then tell you stories later on or provide false information; today it is one thing and tomorrow it is all different. Don't sign up for anything with them, if you do, you will be sorry!!!

We have been trying to pay off mortgage since Feb -- my dad's death and idots are sending notices to my deceased mother..can't get anyone on phone who knows anything and won't answer....nowthey want to charge a late notice since bank account is closed where note was coming out of...and we can't even pay loan off...trying to stall so we can keep paying high 9% rate....how do we get attorney general's office to look into this...a big bogus company ripping you off...needs to be investigated now....incompetent individuals hired...dummies

I had my account transfered from FIRST HORIZON, TO MIDLAND MORTGAGE CO. In JUNE 2008, To this date I have not had my account correct from day one, and no one will contact you at all. MIDLAND MORTGAGE CO., was to conduct a annual escrow account statment on in JUNE OF 2008, was not done ???? They said they forgot . Finally on october 2008 as I called to get this corrected they produced a statement. They requested my county tax on NOVEMBER 21st from Pensacola FL., My tax""s dropped over 1,000, However they completed a annual statement useing my last year's payment's and then completed a 2009 annual escrow statement . I have tried to contact them and get this fixed but to no avail no call returned. I am looking for other people to talk to to get this changed and make them accountable. I feel this is just because I have a VA LOAN RETIRED MILITARY AND FEEL THIS IS THERE WAY OF TREATING A VET. I HOPE I AM WRONG AND ALL OF THIS IS JUST A MISTAKE OR JUST VERY POOR PRATICE ON THERE PART. I DON'T RECOMMED ANY ONE TO USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY TYPE OF LOAN. I AM SURE, I WILL BEABLE TO FIND HELP WITH THE( OTS) DEPARTMENT TO HELP IN GETTING ALL OF THIS CORRECTED. FOR SOME OF YOU OUT THERE THEY HAVE TWO DEPARTMENTS THAT REGULATE BANKS ,(1) IS OCC AND (2) OTS YOU MUST WRITE THEM TO SEE IF THEY CAN HELP.PHONE FOR OCC IS 1-800-613-6743 OTS IS 1-800-842-6929 THEY WILL INFORM YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FOR THEM TO INVESTAGATE YOUR PROBLEM IF YOU THINK YOUR BEINGING DELT WITH WRONG AS I DO. Don't stop there are many ave, to take. Start from the bottom and work up until you get what you are hoping to get and make sure your right even if it mean's the last resort to hire an ATTORNEY. OH AND MAKE SURE AS I HAVE DONE WRITE WHO YOU TALK TO AND DATE TIME PLACE KEEP GOOD RECORD'S .

Crooks! They will rob you. If you are currently with them; try to change mortgage companies. They do not care anything about the customers and the communication skills with the customers are awful. I put in a request to do a repayment plan in August, submitted ALL my paperwork, continued to call for almost 8 weeks, no one returned my calls, then we receive mail from a lawyer's office that our property is being foreclosed on! I call back and raise you know what, we work it out, foreclosure is stopped after I send in one payment ($838- which is our regular house payment, but I fell behind because my husband lost his job- about 3 months), but then they put me on a replayment plan and we have to pay $1373- financial predators!
